Improving Water Quality in the Mississippi River Basin
The regulatory term in the U.S. Clean Water Act requires that state environmental agencies complete Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) assessments for impaired waters which should then be reviewed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) (EPA, 2018).
