The Maslow Hierarchy of Needs
According to Maslow, the source of motivation is certain needs. Needs are biological or instinctive; they characterize humans in genera and have a generic base. They often influence behaviour unconsciously. What causes people to behave as they do is the process of satisfying these needs.
