As Donald Trump started his presidential candidacy in 2016, the idea of a border wall between the United States and Mexico has captured the devotion, captivation, and often the ire of the American public. President Donald Trump promised to build a wall, and he also said Mexico will pay for it. As the extreme debates and discussion on the problem of the US-Mexico border wall, President Trump planned a long-lasting resolution for the problem of illegal immigrants, drug traffic, and dangerous criminals. In the 2016 campaign, President Donald Trump stated that he wants to build a wall and make immigration laws.

Even Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Mr. Schumer are also in favor of wall. At a town-hall-style gathering, Mrs. Clinton says she helped push funding “to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in.” Mr. Schumer says flatly that “Illegal immigration is wrong, plain and simple,” and Mr. Obama says that “we simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked.” The fact is they all have been supporting walls and supporting fences and supporting all sort of border security. Building a wall is a real solution to prevent illegal immigrants, and it also helps to secure the nation’s border and protect the U.S. Border Patrol. Illegal immigration became one of the biggest problems in the United States. According to the Pew Research Center, there were 12.0 million immigrants from Mexico living in the United States in 2016, and fewer than half of them (45%) were in the country illegally.

Mexico is the country’s largest source of immigrants, making up 26.6% of all U.S. immigrants. These illegal people not only live here, but they also do under work to live their best life. They are making money illegally, and it is affecting the people who are citizens of America. They are taking the resources from the poorest Americans who need them most. The border will reduce illegal people to come to the United States, and it also increases the employment rate for Americans. Illegal immigrants work on lesser wages, but still, they take care of their families here and back in Mexico. Right now, the citizens of America unable to find the jobs. In addition, illegal immigrants not only find jobs, but they also find new relationships. For instance, when an illegal girl comes in the USA, she found a boy, and they start living together, love each other and eventually, the girl gets pregnant, but boy is not taking financial responsibilities of his baby because he cannot afford it, and neither can afford it.

The girl does not want to abort it either. Consequently, when the girl gives birth to a baby, she will not be asked for paying her bill immediately. In America, hospitals take care of their patients first and then ask for a bill. So, the girl is illegal, and she does not have any documents or any social security, so where the hospital can send the bills? Ultimately, those bills have to be paid by legal Americans through taxes. America is a welcoming country, people should not take advantage of it. Every day, drugs are smuggled from Mexico. Mexico is, according to the U.S. State Department, "a major supplier of heroin, methamphetamine, and marijuana" for The U.S. market and "the transit point for more than one half of the cocaine sold in the U.S." Drug trafficking has been a critical subject of the past decade. Characteristically, Mexico is responsible for drug trafficking into America, and the crimes that are happening.

One of the most famous stories of El Chapo, who is known for drug trafficking operations, and violent actions and powerful influence. He makes billions upon billions of dollars in marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine. He is the most powerful drug trafficker in the world. The Mexican drug trade is run by several cartels, or groups of smaller drug people to control the illegal drug market in a region. These cartels are responsible for producing and supplying drugs. The United States is the world’s largest consumer of illegal drugs. If we build a wall, we can prevent tons of drugs to come to the United States. The U.S.-Mexico border is one of the active border crossings in the world. "The southern border is a major entry point for criminals, gang members, and illicit narcotics," the order stated. "Because of the gravity of the current emergency situation, it is necessary for the Armed Forces to provide additional support to address the crisis." Almost half of Mexican living in the United States are illegal. They come here to live a better life. Most of them also bring crimes in the country. One of my class discussions, a student told a story about his friend who is from Mexico. The Mexican guy asked him what do you want to do in the future? He answered, “I want to be rich.” The Mexican guy said if you want to be rich, would you join our group to sell drugs, do murders, and do bank robbery. It proves that people Mexican creates problems for U.S citizens.

The main reason for the construction of the southern United States border is to restrict illegal immigration into the United States. President Trump suggested that Mexico does not send its best people to the states rather they send people who have lots of problems, who bring drugs along with them and also criminals. Mexican people are not only affecting the economy, but they also affect the environment. A building of the wall will be beneficial for the United States as it will protect the Americans form illegal actions. Drug traffickers and criminals often cross the border into the United States where they smuggle drugs. These drugs affect all ages of people. The students who are in schools begin utilizing drugs, and they can't focus and perform well in school decimating their bodies and also their professions. Also, people who work, they begin to lazy when they are on the drugs, they want to quit their jobs due to the effects of drugs. People, who are in a relationship, they become violent and ended up beating each other. All in all, the effects of drugs, destroying people’s personal and professional lives. These are the main three reasons to build a wall. Some people claim that a wall is not a good idea. About 40% of people are in favor of building a wall, and about 58% of people are against the wall, and about 2% are not sure. People who are in favor of wall argue that building a wall is crucial for the United States to maintain control over the entrance of people and goods into U.S. territory.

Independent estimates from MIT researchers and others initial construction costs run from the US $25 billion t $40 billion-a far cry from the $12 billion to $15 billion claimed by Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell- plus $500 million to $750 million per year to keep the barrier repaired (Cornelius pg 114). Trump orders to build a wall and Mexico pay for it, but The President of Mexico, Pena has refused to pay for the wall that the Trump command obtains to build at their border. These are some advantages of the wall, but there are also disadvantages to the wall. Building a 1900 miles walls cost about $25 to $40 billion, and nobody really knows how much it really ends up costing the wall. With the hefty price, many people asking if it is worth to build a wall. Another disadvantage is illegal immigration will not stop.

"I don't think we're just going to be able to solve border security with a physical barrier because people can come under, around it and through it." People think building a wall is wasting billions of dollars. They also said that what about those people who come to the United States on the visa, and they overstay here. This is not going to stop with just a wall. People can find ways to come to the USA. Building a wall will not prevent criminals to cross the border. The next disadvantage is a symbol of discrimination. Building a wall would not symbolize impediment but discrimination and racism. It is just like announcing war with Mexico. Everything has its pros and cons. We cannot avoid it. In general, building the wall among the United States and Mexico will create more advantages and disadvantages to the American people. Even though illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and dangerous criminals will not be completely stopped, but it will reduce when there will be a wall. It is the best decision in long run benefits. Next, the employment rate for Americans will be increased when keeping the illegal immigrants out of the country then Americans can support their families.

Mexico is the U.S. main supply for drugs. If we have the border protections, then the chances of drug trafficking will be decreased. Drugs will come to an end and people will not be affected by the drugs. There will be slight dropouts out of school due to drugs, relationships will not be destroyed by drug addiction, and also there will be no violence in homes due to the negative effects brought about by drugs.

In addition, the border wall will also prevent criminals from arriving into the country. These criminals come to ruin the lives of the people living in the United States by slaying them, thieving them, and making their lives miserable, with the wall in place the people will live in peace. A crime which is always caused by illegal immigrants will come to an end and peace will prevail. The wall will force people to follow the law and achieve citizen legally and create more opportunities for the American people. ?
