It is an accomplishment for me to be applying to the National Honor Society. I believe that my teachers and other staff members in the school have seen potential in me that they have seen before in order for me to be chosen to be a candidate for such an influential association. Their faith in me demonstrates that I have proved that I continue to have my determination, ambition and ability to help other people and help the community. I truly believe that I would become a valuable member of the national honor society, because I believe that I have all the required qualities, such as scholarship, character, leadership, and service abilities. I am hardworking as well as someone who is dependable.
The four pillars of national honors society means to me to become a leader in many ways because of the many diverse leadership position roles. One of the leadership postions I take part in is peer mediation, which provides the ability to interact with many students, get shown the challenges that students face with each other and find methods to solve the issues. I am also privileged to lead multiple committies and am providing them with tough decisions that determine the success of the class and events. The challenges and solutions I face have prepared my leadership abilities. If admitted as an NHS member, I believe that will gain more skills to further initiate my achievements and personally progress my leadership skills.
Scholarship to me is a balance between showing your Leadership and how it must then be put in order, to make sure that an accomplished outcome is complete. I have always strived to be a good scholar and achieve remarkable leadership skills. Personally I know that it’s difficult to maintain a balance between scholarship and leadership, but with commitment and perserverance, everything begins to fall into place. As an NHS member, I will still maintain my good grades and continue to engage myself in community and school leadership.
The school community as well as many other comunities benefit from individuals with the dedication for giving voluntary service. Being someone that takes on many leadership roles in our school has made me provide a role to the schoo communityl on how to take care of the school environment. By being frequently involved in giving back to the community through some of the services that are provided, it helps the community to be prepared in advance and to avoid anything that is unexpected. Joining the NHS will help me to transform my school’s community by continuing with the skills and work that is put out there.
Character is the main pillar that connects all four together. With no character it is ineffective to be a good scholar, leader and show service only to demonstrate it with bad character. Character is significant if you want the school community to respect you and take you seriously as well as cherish your work and your traits. By joining the NHS, I believe it will further increase my dedication for showing and maintaining my great character, in order to demonstrate to others that character is the most important when it comes to everything that you deal with in your future.
My academic efforts and success are the best examples of my hard work and dedication to learning and analysing. Creating the future I want takes a lot of motivation and struggles , but when I know I want something badly, I find a way to achieve that goal. I want to become a leader and a role-model for other people. Every day I make one step towards making my goals come true, and being apart of national honors society will help me accomplish those goals step by step as well.
