Cats and Dogs Comparison
Cats and dogs are the quintessential pets for the modern man. Despite the increasing variety of household pets, not one pet can challenge the classic role of cats and dogs as the ultimate animal companion. A pet owner can identify as either a cat person or a dog person?”an age-old question repeated to through time. When choosing a pet between a cat or a dog, we need to learn about their differences to make the most of our pet owner experience. Not knowing the key traits between cats and dogs such as their behavior and training can ruin the experience for both you and your pet, so it is essential to choose wisely.
Behavior: Independence vs. Sociability
When choosing an animal companion, observing their behavior is key. Cats by nature are independent creatures who prefer to roam around on their own solitary pace. They can be sociable if they want to, but unlike dogs, they have no trouble being left alone for long periods of time. Most cat species are nocturnal, so they spend their mornings sleeping and lazing around and their nights hunting and marking their territories. This might be a reason as to why they are stereotyped as distant and aloof.
On the other hand, dogs are a social species. Before they were domesticated by humans, they used to hunt and operate in packs and that habit of togetherness still imprinted in a modern-day dog’s behavior. Dogs are friendly, sociable and energetic in both work and play. The reason why dogs make such great animal workers is that they have a people-pleaser personality wherein they crave for their owner’s approval and leadership alongside the provisions they receive. The same cannot be easily concluded with cats.
Training: Feline Specialist vs. Canine Generalist
Cats are known to be harder to train than dogs because cats do not have a pack mentality wherein following someone is essential. Since cats are independent in nature, they have trouble following orders. Although cats can be trained, it will take a longer time for them to get the gist of tricks and commands than dogs do because their willful personality prevents them to practice repetitive activities with their owners. Despite dogs having an advantage in general training, cats are easier to specialize in potty training because they are exceedingly territorial. They spray their urine in territories they want to be marked as theirs and they usually do the same with the litter box provided for them instinctively.
Quite the opposite can be said about dogs. Dogs, especially puppies, are harder to potty train than cats. They need constant practice in order to know their boundaries and it can take repetitions for them to remember where they should or should not go. Despite being harder to potty train, dogs are more eager to learn other tricks and commands because of their pack mentality that has the tendency to look for and follow a leader. Contrary to cats’ independence from leadership, dogs tend to search for a sense of direction and any direction given to them by their owners in the form of a command are eagerly received and followed.
It is important to note that no cat and dog are alike. Despite the obvious differences in their behavioral attributes and biology, it is counter-intuitive to treat all cats the same because just like humans, cats and dogs have varying temperaments and diverse personalities but learning more on the generalities of both species can lead to an educated preference of which pet to take home.

Dogs and Cat Industry
Abstract
Pet food market has taken huge sales of 22.62 billion (USD). This industry paper will focus on the general manufacturer producing a variety of dog and cat foods including the best food brands and its growth. Food is a major aspect of pet care; therefore, providing dog’s and cat’s with the healthiest food brands are not only healthful, but very important to cats and dogs lovers. "The pet food market remains operating and requires continuing evaluation of the adaptation and efficiency of new products". The main idea of this paper is to understand how important are pets containing in people’s life, especially when it comes to know about the right food brands for an individual who owns a cat or dog.
Introduction
The pet food segment is one of the fastest growing segments within the food industry. This segment developed a great movement and a growing pet population by increasing and developing the performance of these animals. The pet food market has captured huge sales of 22.62 billion USD. This industry term paper will focus on the general manufacturer producing a variety of dogs and cat’s food. The NAICS code for this industry is (311111) using these 6 digits it allows you to find more information about the paper would be much easier to find. The purpose of this term paper is to know how important are pets to some individuals and what are the types of firm who makes foods to increase the abilities of dogs and cats.
The way I will try to collect data is by using the Monroe database to gather information on the industry as well as asking people who are dog and cat lovers who include the pet as family members.
According to research, the dog’s and cat’s industry mostly caters to local’s households. Over 65% of households in the United States own at least one pet, and the pet industry needs to cater to local pet stores to continue selling and making products that keep these pets alive, healthy and happy, also including toys, daycare, training, beds, cages, medical services and many other services.
With the numbers above this tells me that this industry does market to foreign countries. "According to the Japanese Market News, the Japanese pet population grew rapidly in the 1980s due to increases in leisure time, income, and the incidence of solitary lifestyles in which pets offer companionship. The pet food trend in Japan is for healthy food with such ingredients as green tea, (for the deodorization of pet wastes), avocado, and bio-flavinoids, (for tooth decay), indicating that a market exists for premium, healthy pet food and treats". In Japan this pet food is rapidly growing because of the demand of those individuals who owns pets.
Structure:
The Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) requires that the pet food is safe to eat like human foods is safe to consume. "In 1958 the creators of the pet food industry created the Pet Food Institute (PFI), which was for the national trade association. The (PFI) performances as a representative for the industry before the various regulatory agencies and bodies, some of the sponsors researched the idea of this industry and decided to represents the U.S. industry in international meetings, and works on uniform standards for pet food". "(PFI) worked with the American Association of Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) to improve or to keep each other inform of any changes on pet food standards and regulations similar to this topic. Every state-owned apply their own set of laws and regulations that apply to pet food.
This Dog and cat food is sold in some local grocery stores, pet stores, as well as veterinarians. Veterinarian sale this item according to the best brand that are marketed as a health specialty for this pets. "Health consciousness for pets paralleled the general trend toward health consciousness for humans in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries". This great act led to the awareness to increased attention to the labeling and the obesity in pet’s development of more specialized pet foods, which can create greater health in the marketing of this products. As still today, Grocery stores, however, remained the largest channel for sales of pet food.
Conduct (how the power of the industry is affected its ability to set price above cost):
The power of this industry is very strong and extremely demanding because pet’s owner is willing to pay above cost to better ensure the health of their pets. But in the other hand, this overhead cost can affect those individuals that are willing to buy the best food brand for their pets, but do not have the money to provide their pets with the right brand, therefore, these owners buy below their price budget.
Performance:
The performance of this industry bring great profits to the manufactures of this products and for those stores that sales food for Cats and Dog. Owning a pet store can be a profitable business regardless of the performance of the larger economy. All Pet stores develop a great growth on revenue even during recessions, as owners have cut back on their own spending before reducing the standard of living for their pets. However, the competition from larger vendors means that a small business owner still has to observe their costs carefully to join the ranks of the profitable market.
The nutritional supplement for pets will always be on the increase and be greater for half of all U.S. animal nutrition sales in 2008, this product is cultivating more than 7 percent to $1.4 billion, according to "Nutrition Business Journal".
The dog’s and cat’s food segment of the pet food industry comprises primarily two types of firms. One is the large, general manufacturer producing a variety of dog and cat foods along with other types of feed and/or food for humans in other divisions or subsidiaries. These manufacturers sell their products primarily through grocery stores. The other type is the specialty firm that exclusively produces pet food, which is usually health-related or other specialized type. Traditionally, the general firms sell their product in grocery stores while the specialty firms sell their products through veterinary offices or specialty stores.
As todays date the pet market is witnessing a rapid growth because of the rising number of pet owners. This rapid growth is due to the demand and concerns of owners regarding nutrition and balance for the healthy diets of their pets; creating a significant prompted increase in dog and cat food market. Soon researchers say that some ingredients like Omega 3 fatty acids will soon be commonly incorporated in pet food such as Cats and Dogs. This product would become beneficial for the health of some of Cats and Dogs, as well as their owners. For example, with the implementations of the Omega 3 fatty acids, much of this food will have low protein, low ash and easily digestible for the cats and dog’s species, ensuring that owners should make sure that their pets stay 100 percent healthy. According to Pet Food Institute (PFI), sales of cat and dog food rose to $19 billion in 2012. People who have pets such as cats and dogs are willing to spend more on products that promote the health and happiness of their pets. This cats and dog’s food trends will make an attractive opportunity for local pet businesses and as well the makers of this industry. "The rising demand for premium and organic foods prompts manufacturers to produce high-quality products. Increasing awareness about health and health-related issues concerning pets, such as obesity, creates opportunities in the pet food industry".
The food for cats and dogs remained strong and continuing growing in the market, which means that the concentration is still high in this present year. Concentration remained high in 2015, with the top international players Nestle Romania and Mars Romania together accounting for a 50% share. Domestic players were more numerous but their share could not exceed that of international companies and private label products. The main domestic player, Nordic pet food distribution SRL, ranked third, but was far behind the top player. Although, they are focusing to rise tougher and with a much better plan in 2016 according to researchers. The only change it can occur is coming from the modification of shares for international player, but without noticeable changes in its overall positions. "Whiskas healthy option" (2014).
"The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates cat’s food, bag of dog’s food, or box of dog treats and snacks in all the company’s storerooms that sells this type of food. The Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) requires that all animal foods, like for human foods, be safe to eat, produced under sanitary conditions, contain no harmful substances, and be truthfully labeled".
Customers are becoming more demanding due to the health of their pets, there is a high sensitive to the cost of this type of food. also, keeping in mind that there are many available stores to choose from but there is not as many options to choose from when it come to the labeling of this types of food. Smaller amount of competition, but that is changing quickly with the growing market in today’s date, and it will still continue growing because owners are observing the health of their cats and dog’s; especially when buying their pets, the best brand label in the market.
In the above chart it shows how much money pets owner spent in the U.S. market in 2015. $23.05 billion is what pet owners spent in annual years giving this industry an incredible increase in profit. This chart gives me the total overview total of how expensive this services actually are. The pet services such as the grooming and boarding of these cats and dogs is $5.41 billion this is almost as high as human service industries. In this year, about 20 percent of U.S. pet products were sold through pet specialty chains. Many discount stores accounted for over 23 percent of just pet product sale.
This graph tells me that the food of dogs is higher than the cats, although both are very high and demanding in local areas. The treats and snacks are both demanding due to the fact that some owners are looking for good quality brands and healthy choices for their pets.
Structure and Conduct :
The Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) requires that the pet food is safe to eat like human foods is safe to consume. "In 1958 the creators of the pet food industry created the Pet Food Institute (PFI), which was for the national trade association. The (PFI) performances as a representative for the industry before the various regulatory agencies and bodies, some of the sponsors researched the idea of this industry and decided to represents the U.S. industry in international meetings, and work on uniform standards for pet food".
To ensure better my term paper I will research my information for this industry on the Monroe Data Bases, and as well using other resources such as Google scholar and local pet stores around the area. One major source to collect information’s about this industry in asking Dog’s and Cat’s lovers and they might know as more information’s than local pet shops or other resources.
The pet food market is still increasing at a very fast paste, a recent data revealed a tremendous increase in the pet food population reaching 3.5 billion in dogs and cats worldwide in 2014. The pet food industries are always maintaining a great care innovating and developing new products formulas. In previous years such as January 2013 and October 2014 more than 4,000 cats and dog’s snacks and 6,000 in wet pet foods, 3,000 in non-dry foods were launched on the market worldwide. When making this new products, the manufacture of the pet foods industries must find a compromise between nutritional quality because of its demanding including tastiness, especially for diets claiming health benefits and the obesity care for these pets.
Conclusion:
This market will continue its growth in a fast paste with positive performance for cats and dogs because the manufactures are focusing on continuing making the best foods for dogs and cats, furthermore, the demands of this pet lovers will increase all companies that provide this services. Customers are becoming more demanding due to the health of their pets, therefore is a high sensitive to the cost of this type of food. People who have pets such as cats and dogs are willing to spend more on products that promote the health and happiness of their pets. This cats and dog’s food trends will make an attractive opportunity for local pet businesses also the makers of this industry.

Dog – a Man’s Best Friend
The ultimate pet showdown, to end all arguments on why dogs are superior to cats. Dogs are a more protective species who will defend their owner, while cats will run off and hide. They also provide additional health benefits to keep their owner more physically active. Dogs are just over all good companions who surprisingly understand human emotions and try to help however they can. Therefore, owning a dog is much more beneficial from a health perspective then a cat, along with being a good companion who protects you.
Dogs protect their owner and territory by instinct, while cats look for the nearest box to jump into when faced with danger. Hence why the expression is watchdog not watch cat. Plus, a dog’s bark alone can scare off an intruder, while a cat’s meow just doesn’t quite put the sense of fear in a person. Although the dog alone does not have to feel threatened, they can sense their owner fear and respond if they think their human is in trouble(Stregowski).
As for health benefits, dogs need a lot of exercise, just like their owners. This forces owners to be more active and play with dogs or take them on walks. As a result people with who own dogs tend to have lower cholesterol and less likely to suffer from high blood pressure(Debbie ). Now as for cat owners, I personally never seen a cat on a leash, so not much exercise happening there.
Dogs are also known to be pretty good companions. I have never heard anyone call a cat a man’s best friend before. Seriously, who’s seen a cat spin in circles twelve times because they are happy to see their owner who left the room for five seconds. Not only do dogs express emotions themselves, they also understand when their human is having a rough day and need some extra puppy love. Though "researchers have shown that dogs actually have the cognitive ability to recognize and understand emotions in humans"(Bauhaus).
In conclusion, when debating which is the dominate species, there is no question that dogs are a man’s best friend, while cats wish you were dead. Dogs also serve as watchdogs who protect their owner and their home, instead of attacking the owner for looking at them wrong. They also offer numerous health benefits, both mentally and physically for their human. Finally, dogs are overall good companions who are always excited to see their owners. Even though dogs may constantly bring you their toys to play fetch, it is better than a cat leaving you a dead mouse as a surprise.

Why Dogs are Better than Cats.
"The only creatures that are evolved enough to convey pure love are dogs" Johnny Depp. Dogs are amazing creatures that are known for their loyalty and ability to show affection. Dogs were domesticated over 15,000 years ago beginning in Europe. Cats are believed to have been domesticated around 9,500 years ago in Egypt. Dogs have done great things and serve a great purpose that makes them better than cats. Dogs are better than cats because they are more intelligent, they are good for your health, and dogs are great for protection.
My first reason as to why dogs are better than cats is that they are more intelligent. While dogs at times may appear goofy and uncoordinated they are more intelligent than cats. A study contributed by over six universities in different countries has concluded that dogs have twice as many neurons then cats. Neurons are units in our brains that process information. This points towards dogs being almost twice as smart. The experiment was conducted by counting the neurons in the brains of a cat, a golden retriever, and a small mixed breed dog. The use of two dog brains was to account for the varying sizes of dogs. Even though the brain of the mixed breed was smaller, both dog brains were estimated to have around 500 million neurons. This is twice as many as the cats 250 million. This helps contribute to why dogs learn faster and make better service animals. This evidence portrays that dogs are smarter.
The next reason as to why dogs are better than cats is that dogs are good for your health. Dogs have shown to improve both mental and physical health. The simplest way that dogs can improve your health is through activity. Dogs demand exercise and that usually involves their owner. Whether it is going for a walk or just playing fetch dogs are a means to exercise. Dogs have been shown to boost self esteem and mood just by simply being present. Dogs have also been shown to boost chemicals in the brain that correlate with pleasure. Dog owners are shown to have lower stress, cholesterol, blood pressure, and are less likely to have heart attacks. As shown dogs are good for health.

Dogs Vs. Cats: which Pet is Better
Now, many people keep pets at home. The most popular ones are cats and dogs. They are not just pets but family members. This essay will show the difference of keeping a dog or a cat. Dogs and cats have their own habits. Dogs were domesticated about 15,000 to 40,000 years ago. Dogs have a good sense of smell and hearing."A dog's nose has two hundred million nasal olfactory receptors. Each receptor detects and identifies the minute odor molecules that are constantly flying off different objects. Dogs can sense odors at concentrations nearly 100 million times lower than humans can."Their sweat glands are underdeveloped, which results in the fear of heat. Dogs always stick out their tongue to dissipate heat by secreting saliva. Dogs pee to mark territory and attract the opposite sex. Cats have been domesticated for 3,500 years, but not as thoroughly as dogs. It hunts by ambush. Most of cats are able to climb the trees. Cats are nimble and capricious, like to sleep and clean themselves. Cats have meat pad under the toes, which allows them to walk without sound. Cats’ nails can be drawn in and out. Cats like to eat fish and mice because they contain taurine that enables cats to see even at night.
It’s good to keep cats or dogs. Dogs used to assist our ancestors in hunting. Keeping a dog as a pet lowers the blood pressure. " A results indicated that, compared to non-dog owners, the dog owners' scores were significantly lower for psychosomatic symptoms and stress and were higher for general health, vitality, emotional role, absence of bodily pain, social functioning, and mental health."Cats help people catch mice. When people touch a cat, it reduces stress and anxiety. "Cat owners are smart. A 2010 survey of British pet owners by the University of Bristol found that people who owned cats were more likely to have college degrees than their dog loving counterparts. In 2014, a researcher in Wisconsin surveyed 600 college students and found that cat owners were actually more intelligent as well. One study found that over a 10-year period cat owners were 30 percent less likely to die of a heart attack or stroke than non-cat owners."
Dogs and cats have different requirements for their owners. All of them need clean nest, eating bowl, toilet and sanitary ware. Besides, dogs are lively and outgoing. They need more company. Owners usually walk their dogs every day, or some dogs, like husky, will tear down the house. Dogs are loyal and obedient to their owners. Owners also have to choose the correct collars for their dogs. On the contrary, cats don’t like collars, which make them anxious. Cats are generally quiet and introverted. You don’t have to take it outside. Cats keep a low profile and don’t like being boxed around. You can’t impose your thoughts on a cat.
For owners, which pet is better which depends on themselves. If you have enough time and patience, dog is better for you. If you don’t want to go outside every day and just want a warm company, cat is better. In general, what you like is always the best. No matter what pet you keep, you should treat it well. You should know, you have family, friends and work in your life, but your pet only have you.

Why Cats are Better than Dogs
The debate about which makes the better pet, cats or dogs, has been brought to the attention of people worldwide, as it continues to baffle. Even though cat owners know that their felines are undeniably superior to the canine breed. There’s no contest when it comes to cats: Their incredibly playful and independent lifestyle are a pleasure to some animal lovers, many of whom wish they could spend their own days in the life of a cat, napping all day without a care in the world, rather than working their lives away, with the inevitability of stress coming from every direction. Even some dog lovers have admitted to desire for a cat, captivated by their easy care and excellent company. Why do cats make better pets than dogs? Here’s why: they are very affordable, self-sufficient, and require minimal work.
The cost of a cat varies depending on the breed and other factors, but typically owning a cat instead of a dog could save you hundreds of dollars a year. On average, dogs are bigger than cats, and are likely to instill higher food bills as a result. It’s a matter of fact that the average dog consumes more food than cats on the daily, including small to medium-sized dogs. Thus requiring you to have to buy food more frequently, and dropping unnecessary money. They also tend to need more toys, supplies, and services than cats, including crates, leashes, collars, and sometimes training classes. Veterinary expenses tend to run higher for dogs than for cats as well. As far as cat’s needs go, their toys are relatively cheap to buy, and could even be made at home using simple items found around the house. Because dogs have the urge to destroy their toys, they have to be made from much tougher, and expensive materials. The affordability of a cat is undeniably present, and is among one of the bigger factors to consider when thinking about acquiring one.
Another reason that cats best dogs is their self-sufficient lifestyle. It’s common knowledge that a cat is a frequent self-cleaner. You may want to groom them with a brush every once in a while and definitely clip their nails as needed, but otherwise, cats do a fine job of keeping themselves clean. Dogs, on the other hand, love stuff that smells bad, and rolling around in it. As a result, dogs would need routine bathing and grooming, which can get very expensive if they are taken to professional groomers. When it comes to using the bathroom, cats will use a litterbox, which is far easier than walks late at night, during hot summer days or through a brutal winter. You can gain the benefits of neat, clean, and completely covered waste when it comes to cats, as opposed to dogs who, unfortunately, need to be outdoors to do their business. In addition to their hygienic qualities, cats have no problem when it comes to entertaining themselves. Not only are cats much safer indoors, but they're perfectly happy sitting next to a window, or laying in a sunny spot anywhere in the house. Simply crack a window for some fresh air, and they’ll be totally content staring out into the world.
Being as self-sufficient as they are, they don’t require as much work. If you don’t want a pet who will be constantly begging for attention, cats are primarily known for that. Cats will usually ask for attention when they’re hungry, are in need of a cuddle, or require some other basic necessity, but compared to a dog, it’s nothing. Dogs, on the other hand, need a great deal of attention. Dog owners have to supervise their pets’ exercise, let them in and out of the house, keep them clean, and even watch their diets. Cats are a lot more independent. Although, they do need you to set out their food and clean the litter box. Other than food and litterbox maintenance, cats often keep to themselves and are less likely to demand constant attention. Researchers have found though cats form affectionate bonds with their owners, they don’t rely on humans to feel safe and secure. That means you don’t have to feel guilty if you’re stuck somewhere when it starts to rain. Dog owners that have pets who cling and cower during a thunderstorm, and will probably admit to wishing their dogs could become a little more adept at feeling safe and secure.
Both puppies and kittens require an incredible amount of time, energy, and attention. Between getting them comfortable in their new home, introducing them to their new diet, and starting some preliminary training, you may start to think that it might be too much for you. Puppies need ongoing training, but once kittens no longer need their mothers and have learned the basics of using the litter box and other essentials, they can be left at home unsupervised during the day. If you wanted to take extra precautions regarding their safety, put your cat in a room where they can't get into mischief while you're gone. It'll keep them in one safe space and, due to their smaller size, they won't be able to cause much damage from staying in this specific area.
Taking the dog on a quick walk a few times a day doesn’t sound that time-consuming, but many people with curious, lazy, or energetic dogs have found the exact opposite to be true. Cats don’t have to be walked, as many are happy to stay indoors, in which they would exercise on their own. Cat owners don’t have to drag their pets off the couch to make sure the animal gets enough exercise. Instead, they would use a laser pointer that really gets the cat moving. In fact, maybe that’s why few dogs get an adequate amount of exercise; their owners just don’t have the time or energy to run laps with them around the neighborhood, especially when the time isn’t always there.
Cats do make better pets than dogs. From their ease of care, to their cleanliness, to their wonderful company, there's plenty of proof that cats are, in fact, superior pets. Although there are many who would beg to differ, there is a countless amount of evidence which proves that having a cat as a pet is much easier, and undoubtedly better, than a dog. Dogs are messy, noisy, require nearly constant care, and are not nearly as cute as cats. The next time you consider what kind of pet to adopt, dog or cat, make the smarter decision of taking on a cat. Their bubbly personalities and easy management is sure to turn you toward the feline side.

Why Cats Make Better Pets than Dogs
One of the most popular pets to own in the united states is a cat, according to Psychology Today, "A set of new surveys has given us an interesting snapshot about the status of dogs and cats, at least in the United States. The first thing to note is that there are more cats can dogs in the U.S., with 86 million owned cats compared to 78 million owned dogs. However there is a quirk here, since 39% of all American households own a dog compared to 33% of American households with cats. The reason is that cat people like higher numbers with 52% owning more than one cat, as compared to dog owners where only 40% own more than one dog." There are a few reasons why cats are preferred over dogs in the United States. I personally believe that cats make better pets over dogs because cats cost less money than dogs to keep, they don't require much work in general, they don’t require as much attention as dogs do, and are usually healthier and live longer.
The first reason (and most important reason) why cats are better in comparison to dogs as pets is because cats have fewer annual costs to cover. Basic things like food, toys, damages to your property, etc. and medical fees. Yearly cost for maintaining felines is around $599 which is significantly cheaper in the long run from the $947 cost for a canines, based off a study (Petcha). Comparing dog and cat owners, a majority would find that dogs are considerably more expensive than cats. My argument is further validated as there is an even bigger cost difference for vet bills when we compare and contrast these two animals. "While on average, routine annual veterinary care might cost between $200 to $400 for dogs and $90 to $200 for cats." (Wellness) Cats aren’t better just because they have lower annual and medical fees, but also because cats do not require as much upkeep as dogs do.
Obviously they all need love and affection from their owner, but aside from that, let’s observe other stuff these pets need from us. Part of the maintenance of a cat is to replenish their food and water bowls once every day. Having an indoor cat also requires you to clean their litter box once or twice a day, accordingly. An annual check-up at the vet is also necessary. The overall necessities of a cat is feeding them every day, cleaning their litter, annual vet visits and affection. On the contrary, dogs need to be walked every single day regardless of whether since they need the exercise. According to PetMD, your dog needs from 30 minutes to 2 hours of exercise every day to be exact. And addition to basic food/water/vet care, canines must also be trained not to bark, not to bite, not to jump, to behave on their leash, to behave like other dogs, not to beg, and the list continues. This training requires a lot of time, especially during the first two years of the dog’s life, but also ongoing to keep the dog in line long-term. Cats do not need to be trained, but are innately well-mannered and quiet. In addition, dogs have more diseases and injuries than cats do resulting in more intense participation from the owner. Dogs have to be bathed regularly also, requiring more upkeep to maintain them. Cleaning up after dogs either on walks or in one’s yard is another component of care with dogs that lucky owners of cats do not have to deal with, aside from simply litter box care. As you can clearly see, dogs are not the way to go unless you prefer loads of upkeep associated with your pet.
Another reason why cats are found to be a better pet than dogs is because cats are more independent than dogs are. As I already mentioned, cats bathe themselves, dogs don’t; cats exercise themselves, dogs don’t; cats mostly train themselves, dogs don’t. Dogs also have to be let outside to go to the bathroom and cannot be left at home for more than a few hours for reasons like this, and require pet sitters or dog kenneling if their owners take even an overnight trip.
However, with cats, you can leave for the weekend, and they are independent and don’t need too much to keep them busy. Dogs, on the other hand, get very high-strung if their owners attempt to make them independent creatures. If you regularly leave your dog alone they are likely to chew vigorously on the furniture, walls, or their owners own personal items causing serious damage. Some cats without enough owner attention will occasionally claw on the couch if they do not have a scratching post available. Canines tend to get restless and depressed or anxious if not given enough attention or exercise. Felines more easily get their needs fulfilled, with a lap cuddle here and there they are happy to just take a nap. Cats satisfy their extra energy on their own by chasing shadows or a string on the floor unlike dogs which need to go for a half hour walk. Cats are without question more independent than dogs making it much easier to own them. Cats have a longer life expectancy than dogs and typically have better health. Felines live about 16 years. But, canines only live 10-12 years ("Pet Life Expectancy"), with some of the larger breed’s only living until 7 or 8 years. Cats don’t get diseases as often as dogs do either, which means their longer lives are also healthier lives (Wall Triana Animal Hospital). Since 2011, diabetes Mellitus increased 32% in dogs and 16% in cats, dental disease increased 12% in dogs and 10% in cats (Klaussner, Jeffrey), and Otitis Externa is found over 20% in dogs and almost 10% in cats (Gotthelf, Louis). Unfortunately, diseases are on the rise for both pets. However, dog diseases seem to be rising faster stating that cats tend to be healthier than dogs. This statement goes along with a phone interview with a local vet which said that dogs tend to get more diseases than cats (Wall Triana Animal Hospital). Cats are certainly healthier than dogs, and owners can expect to enjoy their beloved pet cat up to two times longer than a dog, making it obvious again why cats are the premium option when choosing a pet.
In conclusion, felines are superior to canines because felines cost less, they have less upkeep, they are independent, and because cats have a longer life expectancy than dogs and better health than dogs. If you were considering adopting a dog, think again. Consider the facts that I have laid out. Don’t just get a dog because it’s ??man’s best friend’ or because everybody says that they are cool. Truly look at the statistics and see which suits you better. Which pet do you prefer?

Phones in School: Advantages and Disadvantages
Phones should be aloud in school. "It helps students be ready for a job later on down the road." "There are many reasons that they need their phones like to know how to access their email, call anyone, read the news, and many more." " The kids and students need to know how to use their devices responsible in class and out of school." "The students should know they shouldn’t be playing any games at all, listening to music, and texting friends during a test to get the answers or even during class when the teacher is talking." The only time they should be able to do that is when the teacher gives you free time during class after all you have all your work done. They can listen to music with headphones. I also think they should be able to listen to music the kind that they want to listen to on their phones while they do their work.
"They can also download apps that help them during classes." "Apps that help provide information on one of the chemical elements in the periodic table and they can get, app that helps them research information on their English papers, and even get a calculator on their phones." When students take test the teachers can make sure that the students put up their phones in their lockers or on the teacher’s desk before a test. After the test then they can go get their devices from their lockers or from the teacher’s desk and then they can do the following listen to music, play games, and do other homework if the have any. If a student forget their homework or their book at home on the table that morning they could just call their parents or send them a quick text to ask if they could bring it to school. Also if something should go bad at school say a shooting they could always call the police and text their parents that the need to get help and send it to the school.
"The teachers can also have a charging station at the front of their classroom so when the students are doing homework, test, or reading and they need to charge their phones they can do so while they do there other work." It shouldn’t just be the High Schoolers that can have their phones in class every grade in middle school should be able to have their phones in class maybe not the fifth and sixth graders the reason that is because they don’t know how to use them responsible. "The reason that is because the are really young and have not grown up enough." But some students don’t have a phone to use during school but maybe if we have a fundraiser for the school and we get enough money we cold by phones for the school kid of like the iPads but we could have phones instead.
Cell phones can really help kids with education. Phones are really a good effective learning tool. There are so many reasons why phones are important during class. "If people don’t know how to be responsible with their phones they are not aloud to have them anymore." If they need to do any research they can as a friend for help and ask if they can use their phones. When students need to do a project together they can look up different kinds of topics and models to do. You can get tons of research on the phones. "We could always check on a grammar checker as well." "We can also have Bluetooth keyboards we can type on instead of just with our thumbs so we can have typing practice." There are tons of ideas when people want to ban phones because they think all kids want to do is play games that’s why they need to learn how to be responsible with them.
"Phones can help prevent stress because some people listen to music to not have stress so they could get some work done while listening to the music of their choice. "It also helps the kids be more quiet." "If we have everything done we could just text our friends and have a conversation only if our work is complete." Phones need to be aloud in school.

Phones should be Allowed in School
Phones should be allowed in school. "There are many reasons for phones during school." "Phones can be a great learning tool during school and out of school. Phones can help the student for a job in the future." "The students need to learn how to be responsible with their device during school." " They should learn how to access emails, read the news, look at the weather, and call clients." "The students should know that they shouldn’t be listening to music, playing games, and messing around on their phones unless they have permission for the teacher." "They also shouldn’t be texting their friends during a test or during homework for the answers." "The teachers could have the students put their phones in their lockers and or on the teacher's desk." Then after the quiz or test, they could always go get their phones. "They could listen to music when done but with headphones and has to be appropriate music." "When they are done they can text their friends and have a conversation with them when done but can not be loud."
"They can download apps that help them with homework like Math, English, Science, Social Studies, and Reading." "They need to have apps to check their English papers and have a calculator to check math answers." They can have an app that helps them with the periodic table. "The teachers can have a charging station their rooms so when they have a test or homework and need to charge their phones they can do so. "There could also be charging stations in the hallways if we have a free class." "Phones shouldn’t just be allowed in high school they should be allowed from seventh and all throughout high school." "If they forgot their book or homework they can send a quick text to their parents to ask if they can get it for them or even a call."
"Not all kids have phones so the school could have a fundraiser and then they can buy phones for everybody in the school." It’s kind of like the iPads but smaller. "The iPads take up so much room and we could just put the phones in our pockets because everything could be on there." "There are so many reasons phones are important during school." Like say there is an intruder that comes they can text their parents for help. They can also call the police for help. "If people don’t know how to be responsible with their phones then the office can have them until they can learn how to be more responsible." "I know people think kids just want to play games all the time they really don’t well some do not all of them do." "Phones can help prevent stress because if they are having a stressful day they can always ask the teacher if they can listen to music while they work." "While everyone is doing their homework and reading they can listen to music of their choice."
"Whether you believe cell phones have a good effect on our society or not, the fact is that a growing number of children now have their own phones." "In fact, a 2016 survey showed that ownership of cellphones among 18-year-olds in the U.S. is now a whopping 100 percent." "If you’re on the fence about getting your child a cell phone of their own, there are reasons to justify getting your child a cell phone." "Earthquakes, fires, bad weather, traffic accidents there are many things that can happen during the day after your children leave the house for school." " Cell phones are a lifeline between a parent and their children, and cell phones also can be used to call emergency responders."
"If you need to get in touch with your parent because your running late, or you decide to go to a movie at the mall, there are few pay phones left for them to use to call you." Phones should be allowed in school for kids.

Why Cell Phones are Great for School
Who doesn’t have a cell phone these days?Cell phones are no longer specifically used for calling and texting. Cells phones have become a necessary item in our everyday lives. The modern cell phones are ground-breaking technology at the tip of your fingers. The real question is, Should students be allowed to use these devices at school? I believe that schools should not only allow cell phones but they should make them required.Cell Phones not only enable students to stay in touch with their family and companions but it also an phenomenal learning outlet.
First off, cell phones make it possible to stay in touch with friends and family. If a student forgets to grab their lunch money, if they are not feeling well or forgets to grab an assignment all they have to do is shoot a quick text or make a quick phone call to one of their family members. Likewise, cell phones gives parents the access to keep track of their children's location before, during and after school. And, A student may needs to call a family member because of a risky situation. For example, Columbine, Columbine is when two teenagers walked into the school with guns and bombs planning on hurting people.Thirteen innocent people were killed and a lot more would have died if it weren’t for cell phones. A student who were hiding for dear life calls the police and tells the police where the school was and what the murders look like. There are various stories like this one where cell phones saved people lives. Basically, having a cell phone is like having your own personal bodyguard.Additionally students can stay in touch with their friends and classmates, but not because it is a enjoyable thing to do, some teachers may ask the students to try to get in contact their friends when they aren’t at school to inform them on what their missing in class and to tell them if they have homework or not. A cell phone can be a essential communication device if used responsibly.
Additionally, cell phones are great learning devices. Cell phones have apps. Some people think that apps are distracting and non educational, but cell phones have many educational apps that could expand the student’s education. Which do you think that the student will enjoy more? Either learning lessons out of the book that is hard to understand or playing a fun education game.I would certainly choose the second option. Some apps that should already be installed on your phone include the calculator, stopwatch and dictionary. Almost every single phone has a calculator on it. Some students need to have a calculator because it is on their school supply list but if they already have a calculator on their phone they will not have to buy another one. Most phone have stopwatches on them. You can use the stopwatch for science class. When I was in high school school we used stopwatches for experiments and the teacher only had a limited amount so we had to take turns. Cell phones can be used as a dictionary and this can be remarkably useful in the classroom. You can always search on the internet for a word you don’t understand. Although, nearly every school has at least one computer in the classroom and a computer lab sometimes that still is not enough. Also, it can cost a lot of money to provide every student with their own computer, so a good option for research would be to use a cell phone if the student has one. I have used my cell phone in Math and English to keep track of my homework. My social studies teacher lets us use our cell phones to do research when we are doing group projects and to study before a test. For example, when we were learning about the Revolutionary War, we did research on the major battles that took place during the war on our phones in class. Cell Phones are a quick and easy way to use technology in the classroom.
Even though there are a lot of reasons that cell phones should be allowed in the classroom, there are also a few cons of having cellphones in the school environment. For example, cell phones can be a interruption to some peers. Some students may check Facebook or text their friends in class. One study shows that college students who uses their cell phones excessively show some of the symptoms drug addicts do. Cell phones can also lead to bullying at school. Researchers say that students who spends more time online and twice as likely to get involved with cyberbullying. Some students might even try to cheat while taking a test or on assignments. If the student doesn’t get caught, this can lead the student to having a poor understanding of the school work and it could cause problems in the future.
Finally, cell phones improves the mature use of technology. Cell phones can intensify the student’s learning when they master when and how to use their devices.A recent study shows that 90.7% of students uses their cell phone for school related work. The study also showed that 43% of students that attends a school where cell phones are not permitted are still using them to help them learn. On the other hand, 74% of students that attend a school where cell phones are allowed use the devices to help them learn.Cell phones will inspire the students to work and make them more self-sufficient. This will give the student the right to make their own choices. The instructor needs to make sure that the students understand the consequences. The instructor should take away the student’s phone, if they are texting when they should be listing or paying attention. Before a test, the teacher should collect all of the cell phones. The students will start to feel like they are getting treated like adults when the teacher lets them use their cell phone in class. By allowing the students to use their cell phones, it is actually helping them for the real world. There are not many jobs where a cell phone is not helpful. Engineers view blueprints, mechanics order parts from their phone and doctors compute dosages. The list is continuous. By the time the student enter their occupation, the need to use cell phones and other smart devices will be even potent. Not getting the students ready for the real world is inadvertent. If the teachers bear with the students and be patient the students will definitely become trustworth users of technology.
In conclusion, most people who go against the usage of cell phone in schools do it because of the interruptions and disturbance cell phones can cause. We have to realize that we live in a technology based world and these devices are an essential and important part of the world. If we don’t take advantage of the educational potential of the cell phone. Cell phones enhances communications, supplies learning tools and inspire appropriate use of technology. Instructors have to find ways to use this expectational cutting-edge technology in our schools.

The Use of Phones in School
The rise of technology in America has severely impacted the moral compass of teens. This issue is due to the rise of phone usage throughout school systems. There are differing points of views as to whether students should/shouldn’t be allowed to have phones during school hours. These bipolar views are mainly due to results in behavior and personality. Joe Mecca, a writer, presents an abundance of different ideas in why students should be able to utilize their phones during school hours. Another source said by Suzy cox, a writer, that has been studying this topic for merely a decade and she said, “the brains of the net generation seem to be developing more slowly them teens have been developing in previous years”. A teacher named Lisa Nielsen had a famous quote that really summarizes her point of view on this matter “we are preparing our students for life after school, we should allow them to use the tools they will be using when they get there”. This evidence might cause people to start to realize that cell phones can be a key factor for a teenager even in school for education purposes. Phones can or can’t help students immensely in school. Phones can teach responsibility or cause a distraction depending on how and when it is being used. The use of phones can either make or break education throughout the world.
Currently in the 21st century cell phones affect the core of children throughout the whole world. The reason is due to the new trends that cause students to be on there phones obsessively. There are various opinions as to whether students should utilize their phones during school hours. These various opinions are based on results of behavior and personality when the student is with their phone and without. There are many points that show if students should/shouldn’t have their phones which include emergency, responsibility, and communication.
Joe Mecca, a writer, presents reasons on why students should have the ability to utilize their phones during school hours. Students know they shouldn’t use their cell phones in school to play games or text their friends about the test they just took. Phones should be used responsibly and for educational purposes. Students could do research for science projects, or download something that provides extra information on one of the topics that they did that day. When needed, teachers could prevent cheating by making students put their phones on, “airplane mode” or any mode that will not allow them to send or receive any messages or use the Internet. Students can benefit from phones in a great way if students were able to use there phones during school.
Another reason that Joe Mecca stressed was the use of cell phones in case of emergency. Nowadays, schools get closed because sometimes they’re natural disasters or gunshots which have become so common in most American schools. Also, students face many predators while at school so it is beneficial to allow cell phones in schools. Maybe to reduce the distraction caused by these Cell phones, teachers can simply cap the time of using of cell phones in school. Students can call or text their parents if the school has closed because of a natural disaster or any other abrupt reason. By having their phones in school, it gives the student a big advantage in order to be safe and contact help if necessary.
Karaka Ramey, a writer, used many reasons to prove why cell phones should be allowed during school hours. Her best reason was that teachers and students can communicate through other phones. The easiest way students and teachers can communicate using cell phones can be by texting. Teachers can simply use group texting to communicate with students. Shy students will find it easier to communicate through cell phones rather than talking in person. Students can then build relationships with their teachers by texting and help them learn at a much better level. Not only will cell phones help students with school work but it will also help them form an educational relationship with their teacher.
Dr. Richard freed wrote an article that displayed many reasons why students shouldn’t have the privilege to utilize their phones. One of his main reasons were the students lack of responsibility and he/she will get sidetracked very easily. It’s not surprising that a recent study found that schools which don’t let the use of phones, experienced a sub sequential improvement in student averages. With researchers concluding that phones can have a negative impact on productivity through distraction. Study co-author Dr. Richard Murphy, reports, “Allowing phones into schools would be the most damaging to low-achieving and low-income students, exacerbating any existing learning inequalities.” Phones can damage innocent minds in ways that are unimaginable. That’s why phones should never be used during school hours.
Another reason that Dr. Richard freed really expressed is some may believe that children’s safety is improved if parents and students can reach one another by phone during the school day. However, in order to get a message from their parents, students WILL ALWAYS monitor their phones, even during class. Schools will protect student’s safety by having them keep their phones off in their backpacks from the beginning of school to the end. If parents or children need to contact one another, the school office should be used, A policy that has worked well for decades. People tend to repeatedly make this, “emergency use mistake” over and over again, and it must come to a close. Therefore, phones would be a major distraction that’s why it shouldn’t be used.
Students may feel the only way to communicate with the class or even their teacher is through text or social, media. Writer Erin Stewart stressed the lack of healthy relationships do to kids over using their cell phones. The use of cell phones has affected many students because there are in a situation, instead of trying to make a conversation they escape to their cell phone. Studies show that homework is interrupted and children become distracted when they get notifications on a chat, texts, or emails. Good communication is important because when students are adults looking for interviews, they won’t know the right communication, which can result in not receiving the job. Another key factor is kids are so focused on social networking on their phones that they spend less time on school work which causes them to receive lousy grades. Since the students have their phones it will side track them instead of focusing. That’s why there is no need for cell phones in school.
Communication between a student and a teacher on a cell phone is incorrect because parents won’t feel comfortable that their child is getting to close to a teacher and god forbid, could become too close to their teacher and lead to inappropriate actions. Phones can cause communication issues and lack of social skills in an abundance of different ways one may not expect. A student’s communication with there teacher is great in school but to text after hours can lead to something dangerous. Phones that are used during school will end up with horrifying affects later on.
At the end of the day it all depends on how cell phones are being used in school. As technology keeps on advancing, cell phones have almost become a vital point of students’ lives because they make communication easy. Cell phones are not bad or harmful as some educators can think, but the problem is that some students use them for wrong reasons and this makes them bad in school. Since most cell phones nowadays can access the internet, students tend to use them for selfish, harmful, and entertaining reasons while in the classroom, this creates distraction and it also affects that students’ grades. If a student can be responsible and trust worthy of using his/her phone they should be granted the privilege to have their phones in school, in order to make there learning more effective and more fun. But if students are showing lack of maturity then cell phones shouldn’t be allowed in school. Students control their own destiny when it comes to their cell phones.

The Role of Cell Phones in School
Cell phones are great and very important in our daily lives, but they shouldn't be allowed in the classroom. We come to school to be educated and to get direction for our futures, that is extremely important and we should get rid of our biggest distraction. Cell phones are distracting, can be used for cheating, and can be disrespectful to the teacher.
Cell phones are a huge distraction to basically all students. A ringing cell phone can stop the whole class and slow the progression of the teaching. "New research finds having a mobile device within easy reach divides your attention, even if you're not actively looking at it." Students can easily surf the web, get on social media, and send text messages. If they were allowed, it would be all too easy to pull up twitter instead of doing something beneficial to learning. A vibrating cell phone is almost instinct to check right away, therefore distracting what could be a very important point in the lecture. Students cannot be expected to learn if they are not even paying attention
As a student cheating can be tempting. A cell phone makes that even worse.
Cheating in the classroom is the worst thing you can do, and cell phones make that easier. In Becky Dieffenbach’s opinion, bringing their own devices "just becomes a source of distraction for some students, because no matter how many times you repeat the rule that they can only be on technology when the teacher says it’s ok, they choose to ignore the rule and then disciplinary actions have to be enforced.". Cell phones nowadays are advanced enough that students could look up test answers quickly at the palm of their hand. Students can take pictures of the test and answers and send them to many other students and before long the whole class could have it. Taking it even farther, students can ask to be excused to go to the bathroom and send texts to get answers. The possibilities for cheating using a cell phone are limitless.
Many students will play on their phones and not pay attention to the teacher and the lesson that the teacher is giving. Students are sent to school to learn and by playing with cell phones during classes students are not learning anything that will help them with a career or their futures. Students can also text friends in other classrooms and not have their minds in the classroom that they are in. The text shows that teachers and parents agree that it would be a good idea to remove cell phones from classrooms.
From all of the cons of cellphones in the classroom, it can be concluded that they should not be allowed. They obviously cause a lot of distractions. Any student that is being brutally honest will confess that they have put off work to do something on their phone. Cheating is made a lot easier with cell phones, even though people will try to cheat no matter what, phones make it extremely easy. Most importantly it is also disrespectful to the teacher and disrespectful to your education. We come to school to be educated and to get direction for our futures, that is extremely important and we should get rid of our biggest distraction.

Conspiracy Theories Explanation
Throughout time, we as a society have seen many events unfold. Some major and some more minor. However, many of these regardless have be documented and sorted into fact from fiction. But, there is still the gray area in between that still draws questions. Whether it be the true motives or who was really involved. These lead to what many have call conspiracy theories. Conspiracy theories are defined as a theory that explains an event or set of circumstances as the result of a secret plot by usually powerful conspirators (Merriam-Webster). Many people believe in these conspiracy theories, but as well many will challenge these ideas too. One specific area would be that of life outside of our own planet; better referred to as Science Conspiracies and Hoaxes. People believe in science type of conspiracies because of fear, unknown areas, and lack of evidence to support it.
People for many decades have been interested in life outside of our own planet. Whether it be the actual scientific study behind life outside of our own, or what many believe life looks like in our own imagination. This leads to fear in the hearts of many people, because of the thought of what could be. Some of this can be attributed to the early forms of cinematography and the early ideas, of life outside of our planet looks like. The earliest recorded film to demonstrate the idea of life outside of our planet wa the French movie, Le Voyage Dans La Lune or in English A Trip To The Moon (IMDB 2018). This film was brought to the US in 1902, and was the first film to introduce the thought of life outside of Earth. It also introduced the topic of aliens to the general public. Which would lead to many more films introducing aliens as being terrifying creators from beyond the stars.
However, as many know films are films and they generally are just used to scare people. For some however, aliens are not just a screen object but rather a part of life itself. To astrologer Carl Sagan life outside of Earth was nothing short of reality. Sagan was a huge believer in life outside of the Earth. In 1967 Sagan along with the National Geographic drew up an early image, of what Sagan believed life on Mars looked like (Daly 2017). Because of this image produced by Sagan, many other scientist also looked into the thought of extraterrestrial life. Once the public saw these images many began to speculate if, they too had seen these creatures and such. This brings up the conversation of another important part of alien conspiracy and that is the topic of Area 51.
Area 51 is another topic that adds to the conspiracy theories as well. Since much of Area 51 is unknown to the public many speculate what really goes on there. In an article presented by the History Channel it is stated that, "For decades, conspiracy theorists and UFOlogists have speculated that the government uses Area 51 to experiment with extraterrestrials and their spacecrafts. Some have connected the site with the alleged government coverup of a 1947 incident in which an alien spacecraft supposedly crashed near Roswell, New Mexico; others have even claimed that the moon landing was staged right there in the Nevada desert (History Channel). Claims like this one exist throughout all of the nation and world. Area 51 is believed to be a sure fire piece of evidence to support these claims of conspiracy theories. However, like previously mentioned there is still a lot the public does not know.
These two points are used just to show that these conspiracies are not all just crazy beliefs. There is generally a decent amount of fact put into the topics of conspiracies, but there is also a lot of imagination used as well. This is why conspiracy theories are so vast and unique in nature. Because there is always a change in the human understanding of what goes on in the world. This leads us a society to question do these conspiracies actually have validation? And should we believe in them? Some agree, while others care to disagree, in the end however the truth will always lie somewhere in the middle. With this in mind we can choose to believe what it is we see or are told. Or do the research ourselves, which will clear up a lot of the problems we have about conspiracy theories in our fears, and unknown and lack of evidence. That is why in the modern era, it is not as much of what if, but rather when will we find what we have been looking for in the stars.

Foreknowledge and Theory of Conspiracy Theory
The foreknowledge conspiracy supports the supposition that the US government got involved in the 9/11 attacks either directly, by mounting explosives on World Trade Center 7, by claiming the lack of large-scale evidence while reporting the discovery of the most unlikely evidence to surface such attacks, or indirectly, by dismissing the clues that indicated towards a possible act of terrorism. Jimmy Walter, businessman and author, was among the first who discredited the validity of the official report of the events that happened and started off the speculation that one of the reasons for which the US government participated in the 9/11 attacks was to provoke a war because "The military was getting their funding cut. The CIA was getting their funding cut" (movie citation). which demanded an immediate increase in the munition industry. Later, an MSNBC report supported this idea, as Mark Gaffney explains, "According to MSNBC, the plan to invade Afghanistan and "remove Al Qaeda from the face of he[sic] earth" was already sitting on G.W. Bush’s desk on the morning of 9/11 awaiting his signature" (News You Won’t Find On CNN).
The flow of accusations was increasing and was progressively engaging more people into raising more questions and theories regarding the real story of the 9/11 events. Consequently, Jimmy Walter and other theorists created an entire campaign that aimed for the government to facilitate a new investigation on what happened in the 9/11. The television and the online digital media intensively publicized this campaign through a series of news, televised debates and shows, and a bundle of websites with supporting evidence for their beliefs. The entire "foreknowledge propaganda" was going on for years and insisted on persuading the public opinion to consider the government the main responsible for the 9/11 attacks, although the official reports debunked their conspiracies in so many ways.
In order to keep this conspiracy standing up, Jimmy Walter and other supporters of the "foreknowledge" conspiracy provided plausible evidence to the public. First, according to "911Truth.Org, they pointed to the fact that the government intentionally hid from the public the black box evidence, although the authorities responsible for the redemption of the building sites found three out of four black boxes (911Truth.Org). Moreover, Jimmy Walter appeals to the public’s common sense when he declares, "We go to the World Trade Towers, they can't find the bodies, they can't find the black boxes, but they find the unburnt passport laying on the street" ("9/11: Truth, Lies, and Conspiracies" 00:04:12-17). In other words, he was referring to the fact that an easy damaging piece of evidence such as the passport of one of the leaders of the attacks, clearly incriminating Al-Qaeda, was found intact despite the circumstances while greater and harder destructible evidence such as the black boxes and human cadavers have been declared missing. This led to the assumption that the passport "was placed there by somebody official" (History Commons). Second, they incriminated the government for intentionally planting explosive materials on Building 7 which completely crashed although no airplane hit it and the decreased sections that were on fire would not have been able to cause the complete collapse. Moreover, they found evidence that suggested that the complete wreckage of the building simulated the exact behavior of the "explosive controlled demolitions" (Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth).
Lastly, they allege that the CIA knew about Al-Hazmi and Al-Mindhar, including the fact that they were terrorists, before they even entered the U.S. Yet, the let them continue their trip from Bangkok to the U.S. after only making photocopies of their passports. Additionally, they suggest that the CIA kept this information away from the FBI("9/11: Truth, Lies, and Conspiracies" 00:11:53 00:13:41). Furthermore, back in San Diego where they lived in 2000, they took English classes, flying training, took their driver’s license and opened bank accounts suggesting that they did not try to stay unobserved. Thomas Drake, the Senior Analyst for NSA reported that while living in San Diego, the pair made phone calls to "Al-Qaeda’s terror cell in Yemen"

The Mental Prevalence of Conspiracy Theories
Humanity has perpetually been captivated by the undiscovered mysteries of the world and even reached into the obscure notorious to find a fitting truth. For hundreds of years, a few people known as conspiracy theorists have challenged what is stated only to speculate by taking a distinctive perspective from an acquired material.
According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, the term conspiracy theory is defined as a theory that explains an event or set of circumstances as the result of a secret plot by usually powerful conspirators. In the 16th century, Greek Mythology portrayed the humankind as a curious species in varies myths like Pandora’s Box. As technology developed throughout the years, our minds altered with a dynamic and influential device at the tip of our fingers.
Today, conspiracy theories spark an intriguing debate about our beliefs; however, searching for hidden answers may be a psychological way to find comfort. September 11, 2001, the nation watched as people jumped to their deaths to escape the hellish fires of the collapsing World Trade Center Towers. America was powerless, distraught, and enraged. The land of the free and the home of the brave had been targeted; attacked. Within a month of George W. Bush’s address to the United States of America, an Air Force aircraft was ordered to drop a load of bombs in Afghanistan; troops were rushed into the site. This commenced a war that still hasn’t ended to this date, with three different presidents promising to end the ongoing war and bring soldiers home. As time passed, the nation grew impatient. Faith in America’s government turned into undeniable disappointment. People searched for detailed information about how the towers fell, the plane sizes, phone calls received by a victim’s family and even redacted government files; theories began to unwind.
In varies movies, including 2009’s "Race to Witch Mountain", conspiracy theorists were characterized as lunatics with a credulous mind; usually portrayed as a person wearing a hat and clothing completely made of aluminum whilst rambling about the government’s furtive behavior. In contrast to today’s youth, conspiracy theories have become such a common conversational topic that it is rarely considered controversial anymore. However, theorists are currently being associated as interrogators that obsessively dissect certain aspects of history by attempting to grasp enough comfort from unresolved situations. According to an interviewee, the reason why few people are known to fall into paranoia is due to the fact that there is a compulsive need to try to find every piece to an unsolvable puzzle even if the pieces don't stick. This is an example that shows how a person can begin making insane accusations and why some do undergo the mental psychological problem of paranoia. The advancement of technology has also been recognized as a big reason behind why much of the population believes in at least one theory. From being a prisoner chained to the dependency of land-lines it has transformed into carrying a light small rectangle in your back pocket that has the same power as a home computer. This revolutionary device has become a necessity by storing all our important information, popularizing fast research which The infamous moon landing of 1969 has become such a recurring search topic that in the commonly known search engine Google, it’s the fifth result from just typing "moon landing".

Jonestown Conspiracy Theory Rhetoric Essay
James Warren Jones or as he is commonly referred to, Jim Jones was born May 13, 1931 in Crete, Indiana. Jones grew up in a poverty stricken home due to the Great Depression and lived in a shack which would later lead to him wanting to base his religious teachings on helping people from lower economical and social backgrounds including people of African-American and Hispanic-American descent. During Jones’ childhood he studied the works of Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler and Mahatma Gandhi just to name a few and he would study each leaders strengths and weaknesses. Jones had a difficult time making friends and began diving heavily into his religious studies. In 1949 Jones married his wife, Marceline and the two would go on to adopt many children from different ethnic backgrounds calling their family, "The Rainbow Family". Jones later decided he wanted to start a congregation called "The Peoples Temple of the Disciples of Christ" or as it is more commonly known as "Peoples Temple", it was a new religious movement founded in 1955 by Jones in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Jones used the Peoples Temple to spread a message that combined elements of Christianity with communist and socialist ideals, as well as an emphasis on racial equality. Their classification was a Christian new religious movement, utopian and social change church movement. And their orientation was Eclectic Pentecostal with Christian socialist, which is a form of religious socialism based on the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth and many believe that capitalism is a form of greed and often lead many Christian socialists to become communists, with communistic elements, Theosophical and New Thought which is rooted in the teachings of spiritual teacher and mesmerist Phineas Quimby (Eldridge).
Jones decided to move to Guyana, a country in South America, to get away from the United States which he often called, "The Antichrist". Once he moved to Guyana he started his new utopian civilization with his congregation called Jonestown. Before they left for the Jonestown site, the Peoples Temple members were the subjects of local scandal in the news. Jones claimed these exposes were attacks on their newly-found religion, and used them as an excuse to move most of the members to Guyana. These exposes and after the defection of Jeannie Mills along with her husband Al and their children who were all ex-members of People’s Temple published a memoir, Six Years with God: Life inside Rev. Jim Jones' Peoples Temple, established a center in Berkeley to deprogram ex-cultists, and persuaded Rep. Leo Ryan to undertake the fact-finding mission to Guyana that led to the Jonestown massacre and Ryan's death (ADST). It was because of these particular events in which Ryan found his kairos and was able to try and help people who were being negatively affected by Jones’ teachings and possible abuse.
Disturbing reports continued to surround Jones, and soon came to the attention of congressional members like Ryan. Stories of beatings, kidnapping, sexual abuse and mysterious deaths leaked out in the press. Ryan decided to go to Guyana and investigate the situation for himself. He arrived to Jonestown on November 14, 1978 with reporters, CNN cameramen and Richard Dwyer. On November 18, 1978 while leaving Jonestown, Ryan and Dwyer were headed for their plane on the airstrip. Right before, Ryan decided to shake the hand of the pilot and as he does this Dwyer mysteriously disappears. Then, moments later, Ryan and the CNN cameramen and crew members were shot on camera (PlaneteryBOOM).
The chain of events which led to Ryan's death in Guyana on November 18, 1978 began one year earlier. The spark that ignited his interest was a San Francisco Examiner article on November 13, 1977, involving an old friend and constituent, Sam Houston of San Bruno, Calif. Headlined "Scared Too Long," the story recounted the death of Sam Houston's son, Bob, beneath the wheels of a train on October 5, 1976, one day after he had announced his decision to leave the People's Temple. The article explained that Houston was "speaking out" because he was outraged by the way the Temple had treated his son, about whose "accidental" death he had lingering doubts. He was also speaking out because his two granddaughters, who were sent to New York on a "vacation," ended up at the People's Temple agricultural mission in Jonestown, Guyana never to return. Houston was also described as speaking out because he didn't have much time left. Doctors would be removing his cancer-choked voice box within a few days. Finally, Houston said he was speaking out because he was "tired of being scared"(McGehee). By doing this, Huston demonstrated not only kairos by using his voice to speak out before he would lose his voice, but he also used pathos based on his emotional attachments to many of the victims of Jonestown.
There are many illogical discrepancies with the events and reports on Jonestown. One major discrepancy is the death toll, it was first counted by the Guyanese Army at a total of 480 members of Jonestown dead. Several days later, the U.S. Military did a count and the total raised to 700 then a few days after that 780. Then, seven days later it rose to 909. Only 167 Jonestown inhabitants were reported to have survived. When asked why there were discrepancies with the death toll, a U.S. Army official said, "the Guyanese can’t count", though there is no real credible source other than John Judge who wrote about the events of Jonestown and many of the conspiracies surrounding it in the article entitled, The Black Hole of Guyana: The Untold Story of the Jonestown Massacre. While another Army official said that the 400 corpses initially found had just been stacked in such a way that they hid more than 500 more. According to the New York Times, the first trained medical official on the scene was Guyanese coroner Dr. Leslie C. Mootoo. He and his assistants examined over 100 of the bodies during a 32-hour period and found that the adults had all been injected with cyanide in places which they could not have reached without assistance, such as between the shoulder blades, and that many of them had also been shot. Charles Huff, one of the first U.S. soldiers on the scene, also reported having seen "many gunshot victims", as well as other victims who had been shot with a crossbow, all of whom appeared to have been attempting to flee (Treaster).
Relatives and officials back in the United States complained about being kept from the remains, and according to the New York Times, Dr. Sturmer, then President of the National Association of Medical Examiners, sent an open letter to the U.S. Army complaining about the handling of remains and the illegal cremations of most of the Jonestown victims (Rensberger). For a number of reasons, some legal and some merely logistical, the bodies were not flown out of the remote jungle location of Jonestown for up to a week before being flown to New Jersey, which allowed significant decomposition to occur. Ultimately seven autopsies were conducted but the medical examiners were not informed of Dr. Mootoo's preliminary findings and the corpses were far too decayed for injection sites or other wounds to remain identifiable during the procedures.
A popular conspiracy surrounding Jonestown is that the Guyanese government helping the American government cover-up Jonestown. There are other indications that the Guyanese government participated with American authorities in a cover-up of the real story, despite their own findings. One example was Guyanese Police Chief Lloyd Barker, who interfered with investigations, helped "recover" 2.5 million for the Guyanese government, and was often the first to officially announce the cover stories relating to suicide, body counts and survivors. Among the first to the scene were the wife of Guyanese Prime Minister Forbes Burnham and his Deputy Prime Minister, Ptolemy Reid. They returned from the massacre site with nearly $1 million in cash, gold and jewelry taken from the buildings and from the dead. Inexplicably, one of Burnham's political party secretaries had visited the site of the massacre only hours before it occurred. When Shirley Field Ridley, Guyana Minister of Information, announced the change in the body count to the shocked Guyanese parliament, she refused to answer further questions. Other representatives began to point a finger of shame at Ridley and the Burnham government, and the local press dubbed the scandal "Templegate"(The Unredacted).
On the information I found while researching the events that lead up to the Jonestown Massacre and what would later be its aftermath, I would have to say this conspiracy is purely a conspiracy theory. Based on much of the information I found going in-depth about the actual conspiracy is that the conspiracy itself was not covered by any academic or major news outlet. Many of conspiracies come from people on the internet who regurgitate much of the same non-factual information on Jones and the members of Jonestown. There is no proof that Jones was affiliated with the CIA or even had any remote ties to the CIA except for Mitrione, who he knew growing up. He knew Mitrione prior to his days of being affiliated with the CIA while working as a police officer in Richmond, Indiana, which is where Jones was living at the time during his teenage years after his parents separation. Many of the Jonestown conspiracy theories all have many dead ends and loose ties and there is nothing I could find that would even remotely relate Jones to the CIA. All of the sources found about the conspiracies are illogical and have no real evidence and are purely based on assumptions.

Government Conspiracy Theories Overview
Although conspiracy theories have always been a well known topic, they have recently become more popular due to all the controversial events around us today. For those who may not know, a conspiracy theory is a belief that some covert but influential organization is responsible for a circumstance or event. In fact, the most mentioned organization said to be involved in these mysteries is our very own U.S. government, some of these theories being Area 51, and 9/11.
A well-known conspiracy theory involves Area 51, an air base located in Lincoln County, Nevada. Although the base’s primary purpose is publicly unknown, it has been said to be used for the development and testing of aircrafts and weapon systems. The conspiracy began when the U.S. government denied the existence of Area 51, they had also mentioned that they had no interest in aliens or UFOs. Well in late 2017, the Pentagon had officially confirmed that there was a $22 million government program used to collect and analyze "anomalous aerospace threats", basically UFO’s. This new information led people to believe that the government was storing aliens to study, and picking up spacecrafts that were said to have landed on earth back in the 1900’s. Back in 1947, an incident involving the government occured, a farmer in Roswell had discovered metallic rods, pieces of plastic, and silvery paper scraps. The farmer called the sheriff, who then called the military, who then picked up the debris and placed it into armored vehicles and drove off. The theory is that it was taken to Area 51 to be studied by the government, it has been said that they most likely tried to harness the technology from the ship to manufacture interstellar spacecraft and produce powerful energy weapons. People have also come up with other ideas that they believe the government might be studying such as, time travel, teleportation, and ways to manipulate or weaponize the weather.
Another popular conspiracy theory involving the government would be 9/11, which is known as the date when a major terrorist attack took place in New York City, there had been a series of four coordinated terrorists attacks formed by the Islamic group al-Qaeda. Four passenger planes had been hijacked by these terrorists and were flown into the World Trade Centre, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania, killing almost 3,000 people. Just hours after the incident occured, conspiracies had already began appearing all over the internet, the most popular being that our own government had known about it and that they may have orchestrated the whole thing just for an excuse to go to war.
One reason why people believe the government was involved was because they couldn’t believe that the collapsing of the towers was caused by just the planes crashing into them. They believe that there may have already been bombs planted on the floors of the towers, some witnesses have even stated that they actually heard explosions before the planes even hit. Scientists have even come out to say that an airline plane couldn't have possibly caused that much damage, much less cause a whole tower to collapse. After this tragic event, a group of Navy Seals were sent out to kill Osama Bin Laden, the leader of al-Qaeda, in which they were successful, but there are actually many people today who still believe that he is alive. The reason for this is because people found it strange how the military just disposed of his body into the ocean, how there was no photographic evidence or DNA evidence either. People also believe that the official story of the raid appeared to change and contradict previous assertions.

What is a Conspiracy Theory?
A conspiracy theory is a theory that tells of how an event takes place. People believe in conspiracy theories for many different reasons. Some want a sense of understanding, as well as the want to have a positive self-image. It is human nature to wonder what goes on around them and why. When we ask questions about certain events that we don’t have a solid answer to, often as humans we believe some of the first answers we come across. Some of the answers are conspiracy theories that can lead a person to believe in somethings that may or may not be true especially if there is any kind of evidence. For most major events that occur there’s a good possibility that there is a conspiracy that people believe behind it.
There are those who believe in common medical conspiracies such as cancer-causing agents that people use every day or developing certain types of pathogens to affect a certain race. People believe in these theories for many different reasons. Mrs. Stacey Colino stated "sometimes there’s a dose of arrogance or skepticism behind these beliefs." They believe this because it gives them a feeling of superior intelligence over others around them. Mr. Viren Swami stated that" when people feel alienated or powerless, they may offer a simple explanation of a complex phenomenon " This gives an individual a feel of importance and gives them a hope to be able to make a change in the world.
People who believe in different types of medical conspiracies often ignore medical information because conspiracy theories are easier to comprehend. Sciences involving the study of can be extremely difficult to understand simply because its hard to prove to someone with no medical back ground. There are many people that believe that the government has infected the African American population with HIV to have a form of a present-day genocide. There’s no simple way to prove this right or wrong but because of the higher percentage of the population of the African population to have HIV than other races it makes people wonder. The CDC stated that in 2016 in homosexual male cases there was 10,223 cases of HIV in African Americans, which is significantly higher than Hispanics which is 7425 cases and whites which is 7390 cases in the United States. In Heterosexual cases of HIV the African American women population had 1926 cases while Hispanic women had just 1025 and white women had 1032. When Africans have sexual contact with other African Americans, they have a greater risk of contracting HIV. This gives people incentive to believe in this conspiracy. But this can have a negative influence on society simply because it gives people a negative out look on the government itself. This could lead to riots and cause civil disobedience to law enforcement and other government officials.
One conspiracy is that the use of cell phones cause cancer. The theory is that the more you use your cell phone the more likely you are to develop a type of cancer. Cell phones produce different types of radiation such as X-rays, gamma rays, and UV lights. These waves can heat the skin or other tissues in the body. The American Cancer Society says " levels of energy given off by cell phones are not enough to raise the temperature of the body." There are many factors that influence your chances of developing cancer one is the amount of time you spend on your phone, if you use a hand free device or use speaker, how much energy a that the phone emits to get a proper signal, and the type of phone being used. Concerns of conspiracy theorists about cancer is that since the phone is held against the head or somewhere very close. People believe in this not only because of the facts but because they feel like they’re making the world a better place with the information they display. The problem that conspiracy theorists have with cell phones is the lack of information and lack of warning that the government gives on this issue. The negative effect about this conspiracy on society is that if this conspiracy became a major public issue in America, it would cause the decline of jobs and the decline of the cell phone industries. Companies could loose millions of dollars in stock in just a few weeks or months.
People believe in conspiracy theories for many different reasons including getting a sense of understanding and to make them feel like they’re affecting the world by making a change. While most people blow most conspiracy theories off, it’s important to be open minded to all conspiracy theories especially if there are facts supporting them. While being open minded you should also look into conspiracies with caution. Some theories can lead you to believe in somethings that aren’t real because of the lack of factual evidence. When the African population has a higher amount of HIV cases than any other races it is not something a person should ignore but something to take a closer look at.

Why People Believe in Conspiracy Theories
Do you believe in conspiracy theories? An article titled"Why People Believe in Conspiracy Theories.", posted on "theconversation" website, discusses the reasons people believe in the conspiracy theories. The authors Catherine Pickering and Jason Byrne, not only explain the information about conspiracy theory, but also about human belief. Authors Pickerine and Byrne explain an ongoing report demonstrated a relationship between's a person's requirement for structure and propensity to have faith in a conspiracy theory ,that’s reason that conspiracy theories go up with such normality to force structure and capacity to perceive designs. Some points of the authors are acceptable, but the rest of the opinions are insubstantial and not totally true.
According to the authors Pickerine and Byrne, at least there are more than one factors that affect people’s trust in conspiracy theories,we are social creatures in a society that focus to be more essential than being correct. That’s why we are so quick to have confidencr in conspiracy theories. If our social gathering thinks something, we will probably pursue the group, because we continually contrast our action with those of our associates and try to fit in. Is it true that people can trust in conspiracy theories with pressure from others people? What does the word "pressure" signify? It means a push from other people to believe something which has not been proven like conspiracy theories, through words and social media. I think this doesn’t make any sense, because in my experience that people’s belief depends on their point of view, what is meant here is people’s trust in conspiracy theory, not pressure from others people or pressure from people close to them. In a survey that has been proven by Joseph Parent, which affect people’s believe in conspiracy theory that is education and the welfare of the person. People’s perspectives are very different, based on their respective experiences (good or bad).
The second factors, according the author is myth busting mishaps, human mind is something open and often irrational. This fact is not entirely true, because there are some people who don't believe myth. Advanced technology is one of the factors that makes people don’t believe in myth, because myth can be easliy be prove by the amazing use of technology. Science is also one of the factors that makes people don’t believe in myth, because science can easily break myth. Like in Jakarta, people who live in Jakarta don't believe in myth anymore because of technology advances and development of people ways to think. Based on the article, people have the audacity to refuse myth at their surroundings, but because of the process to reject the myth is wrong, they become more into believing it instead of rejecting it, and that’s based on an experience that occurs in my region. A standout amongst the most striking precedents of this was found in an examination assessing a "Myths and Facts" flyer about influenza immunizations. Instantly in the wake of perusing the flyer, members precisely recollected the actualities as realities and the fantasies as myths. Be that as it may, only 30 minutes after the fact this had been totally turned on its head, with the myths being significantly more liable to be recognized as "actualities".
Authors states that beside from the factors there is one way that can make us not easy to believe in conspiracy theories, and that’s by making friends. By befriending people that are decent and could bring a positive impact to ourself can make us reject something that’s not yet proven to be true, like conspiracy theories. When you doesn’t have any friend that you can share or talk with, it will make you lonely and automatically make you belive in conspiracy theories, because conspiracy theories community are big and can make us feel comfortable because there’s a lot of people who share the same beliefs. Based on my experience, befriending nice people can make me forget about the beliefs that has not been proven. Then again, it depends on our experience and how we take advice from our friends. Research shown that people depends on their experience to prove something.
We can resolve that, Chatrine Pickering and Jason Byrne explains that there are two factors that can affects our believe, that is pressure from other people and from the the human mind itself. But by making friends with people who bring a positive impact and by thinking rasionally, will easily makes us avoid in believin something that is not yet proven to be true.

Cell Phones in School: Good or Bad
Students should not be prohibited from bringing cellphones to school. We all know cellphones have pros and cons to whether they should be in school, but there are some good reason on why they should be allowed. I have three valid reasons to why cellphones should be allowed at all schools. The first reason I have is Internet access, second is In case of an emergency, and the third is Note takers can take pictures of notes and Record lessons they did not understand to look over. In this essay I will state three pros on why cell phones should be allowed in schools.
The first reason on why cellphones should be allowed in schools is Internet access . As we know most students have cellphones and they have data. Schools would not have to spend as much money on buying computers and maintaining internet. Students will be able to go online to do quick researching during class, and they can do class assignments without worrying about the internet going out.
All schools have emergencies such as school shootings or threats or maybe students just forgot their lunch, so how can all the students call their parents at the same time? That is my second reason In case of emergencies. If a student forget their lunch they can easily send their parents a text to bring it to school. What if a school gets a threat or a shooting happens, the students should be able to call their parents to let them know so they want be worried that something has happen to their child.
Cellphones are a easy way to help finish notes by taking pictures of the notes written on the board and recording the lesson to go back over it at home to get a better understanding, that is my third reason. Some students take longer to write down notes unlike other kids or maybe the teacher goes by the notes to fast. Taking pictures of the notes can help you go back and finish writing them down to get a better understanding while doing it alone. Students can also text upcoming assignments to themselves or put it in their calendars. Other students can record the lesson they was taught in class and send it to a student who was absent or if they did not understand the lesson that was taught they can easily go back and watch it again.
When one considers reasons one, two, and three, it is clear that students should be able to take phones to school. I stated three clear valid reasons, and with these reasons you will understand that these three pros will become very useful in school everyday. Cell Phones should be allowed in school because they are convenient to all students. It also allows students to understand what they learn in school better.

Conspiracy Theories the Government was Involved with
Seventeen years ago a tragic event, 9/11, took place in New York. September 11, 2001 was the date on which a terrorist hijacked flights to target the Twin Towers, Pentagon, and the White House. The attack caused rapid destruction of the buildings and distress in people throughout the world. Throughout time, evidence was collected and analyzed; the evidence led to unanswered questions. This disastrous event led to the development of conspiracy theories that 9/11 was not a terrorist attack and that instead the government carried out the attack.
The United States government was in disbelief that the Twin Towers in New York City were targeted by terrorist. Although the government portrayed themselves as in despair and fear for the country, it was to cover up the fact that they were the ones who developed the idea of pretending that a terrorist attack took place. This claim can be summed up by Beata Safrany, who states, "The 9/11 conspiracy theorists claim that the US government used the attacks of September 11, 2001, to gain power over the Middle East and over the American people" (11). The authorities gradually realized that their country was in need to be portrayed as resilient. The government was seeking attention and possible war. The terrorist, Osama Bin Laden, that the authorities accused of being a part of this attack was never the true enemy of the United States. The organization that Bin Laden was supposedly the head of, did not exist and he is a phantom enemy. In addition, there is a suspicion that the second video created of Bin Laden is an imposter video. It is necessary to realize that a possible connection exists between the CIA and Bin Laden. This connection was recognized during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Conspiracy theorists allege that, " Bin Laden worked as a CIA agent under the codename Tim Osman" (Safrany 11). While Bin Laden worked as a CIA agent, he was military trained. At one point Bin Laden was in an American hospital being treated for a serious medical issue. If Bin Laden was a true enemy of the United States, we would not have been associated with him or supported him with medical treatment and weapons. The government used Bin Laden to their advantage to create the impeccable attack on the Twin Towers.
The attack on the Twin Towers appears to have been completed by an airplane. The Twin Towers that were located in New York were enormous and would be almost impossible to be demolished by an airplane. According to Dave Thomas, "The Twin Towers collapsed at free-fall acceleration through the path of greatest resistance" (Thomas). Free-fall accelerations support the idea that the towers collapsed with zero resistance. It additionally provides evidence that explosives were involved in the destruction of the Twin Towers. Other evidence that explosives were involved in the destruction of the Twin Towers is that debris was found hundreds of feet away. Throughout the investigation, there was Nano-thermite and military-grade explosives found in dust from the towers. Nano-thermite is capable of melting steel; there was tons of melted steel found within the tower debris. Obviously, an airplane had still hit one of the Twin Towers, but in a timely manner where the explosives went off to complete the destruction of the towers. The one Twin Tower, Tower 7, was not even hit by a plane at all, it was only affected by small fires throughout. For example, "We’re told that it wasn’t hit by a plane and was subjected to just a few ??small office fires.’ Yet it collapsed anyway, late in the afternoon of September 11, ??falling neatly into its own footprint at free fall acceleration, just like a normal controlled demolition’" (Thomas). Due to the destruction caused by the fires, the Tower had collapsed precisely into its own footprint. This confirms the Tower crumbled identically to a controlled demolition. This supports that the complete destruction of the Twin Towers was not from an airplane striking or targeting the Tower. Explosives and fires that occurred due to the government being behind this attack demolished the Twin Towers.
The Pentagon was a part of the attacks during 9/11 and was struck by the American Airlines Flight 77. Although the Pentagon was reported to be struck by an airplane, the damage was minor compared to the damage that would occur from an airplane. Airplanes are rather large machines due to their purpose being to carry hundreds of passengers to a distant destination. The video footage of the attack on the Pentagon was observed and does not support the idea of the building being hit by an airplane. For example, "Theorists maintain this was evidence that the Pentagon was not struck by Flight 77, but by a missile or unmanned drone instead" ("5 Compelling 9/11 Conspiracy Theories"). Theorists concluded that the Pentagon was struck with a missile due to supporting evidence such as the extent of the damage and difficulties with the plane. The size of the damage to the Pentagon did not match the size of a passenger airplane but rather close to the size of a missile. The damage had to have occurred from a missile because Flight 77 came across some electrical and mechanical difficulties. The control towers had no sight of the airplane or radio connection to the plane. There was a strong suspicion that Flight 77 had crashed. Flight 77 was a missing plane and it was apparent that a different flight was en route for Washington. The military was sent out due to this chaos and confusion of the situation where a missile mistakenly struck the Pentagon. Therefore, the American Airlines Flight 77 was not involved with the damage done to the Pentagon.
The United Airlines Flight 93 was reported to be taken over by terrorists. The terrorists had the White House, located in the nation’s capital, set as their target. The passengers on board had attempted to rescue the plane which then lead to the flight crashing into an open field. The destruction at the crash site of the plane did not match the destruction that should have taken place due to the massive size of this airliner. The destruction of the airplane was described to be spread throughout the field. If the passengers were the cause for the crash, then the destruction at the crash would be different. According to the 5 Compelling 9/11 Conspiracy Theories, "As with the Pentagon attack, theorists state that little plane wreckage was actually discovered in the field and the crash site itself was too small for an airliner that size, arguing instead that the plane was shot down by the military and so it disintegrated over a larger area" ("5 Compelling 9/11 Conspiracy Theories").
If Flight 93 had struck the ground, the destruction would be in a relatively small area, but it would have caused a large amount of damage. The passengers were being discovered as heroes and the military were not approving. For example, "While conspiracy theories about faked phone conversations, doctored transcripts based on the plane’s recovered voice recorder, and military intervention to shoot down the plane unofficially circulated" (Weber 139). This supports that the passengers were making phone calls and reaching out for assistance to have a chance of survival. It was then discovered that the plane was targeted by a missile through fake recovered phone conversations and voice recordings. The military had to portray themselves as the hero, which gave them a reason to shoot down Flight 93 with a missile before it officially crashed.
Conspiracy theories are commonly perceived as favorable for the obsessed or irrational people. Although conspiracy theories are viewed as a reason to argue history, they are important to society’s position or control. Accepting conspiracy theories allows for diversity to evolve and history to be viewed in a different way. Conspiracy theories have the possibility of revealing the hidden truth and bring the desire to understand what occurred in history. In certain circumstances, conspiracy theories allow for the sense of security. In the American context, " Goldberg (2001) argues that conspiracy theory is part of the rendering of American history as a story about America’s position and power" (Jamil and Rousseau 247). This supports that conspiracy theories are leading to a new revolution within the field of history. The acceptance and belief of these theories of the tragic event, 9/11, reveals new possibilities or truth on how this accident transpired. Society tends to put trust into the government and believe the information they convey, only because of fear of the government’s power. The government’s power influences the psychological aspect of society, so people will not want to recognize that conspiracy theories reveal the actual truth.
The government officials persist that conspiracy theories are developed from someone with an unstable mindset. In contrast, Maggie Koerth-Baker states, "Perfectly sane minds possess an incredible capacity for developing narratives, and even some of the wildest conspiracy theories can be grounded in rational thinking, which makes them that much more pernicious" (339). Recently the growth of belief in conspiracy theories is growing, and this is because if one believes in a conspiracy theory, they are likely to believe in other theories. The government views this as a danger because as more rational minds pursue conspiracy theories, the probability of a revolution occurring is higher. The officials of America fear the loss of control over society. Conspiracy theories exist to expose the truth and provide people with the chance to understand history. The terrorist attack that occurred on September 11, 2001 was a supposedly unforeseen event.
Unfortunately, the attack was expected and destined to occur. The horrific destruction of the buildings left the community in despair. As with any disaster, an investigation took place and evidence was collected and analyzed. The evidence discovered from the damage of the buildings opened an opportunity for the development of conspiracy theories on how this terrorist attack occurred. Throughout time and scientific studies, it was discovered that the government developed a terrorist attack on 9/11.

Conspiracy Theory “Chemtrails” Summary
The chemtrails conspiracy theory was first originated when people started noticing the lingering contrails that lasted long enough to make people think that it must contain additional chemicals. this theory suggested that the governments or other parties are engaged in a secret program to spray harmful biological agents at a high altitude for top secret experiments. people who believe that there is something odd about contrails came up with several reasons to explain the purpose behind these lingering chemtrails including chemical release for solar radiation management climate and weather change sterilization reduction of life expectancy linked to human population control also biological and psychological manipulation and chemical warfare.
Many of the reasons why conspiracy theorists come to believe in these stories was due to the human mind that has this tendency to recognize patterns and to put everything into a sequence and make a meaning out of it even when the puzzle piece does not exist. There is one's personal need for structure so the abstract human brain starts making false pattern of perceptions to seek underlying explanations to enhance their mindsets. many come up with their own reasons to their problems and have a deep suspicion of the government.
The reasons for the chemtrails is on a rolling discussion between the chemtrail theorists. They suggest that the government is spraying people with harmful chemicals to experiment the effects on the earth's atmosphere. conspiracy theorists claim that this is done to cause illnesses and other health issues to eliminate out the sick and elderly people ultimately controlling the population. conspiracy theorist believers claim that the chemtrails is in fact a global conspiracy arguing that there are various goals for this conspiracy. examples would include; to make people sick so the drug companies profit by manipulating prices.the conspiracy believers say chemtrails are toxic to life on earth. many chemtrails conspiracy theorists came to this point due to the altering effects it had on their health and crops. one of the conspiracy believers mentioned that they had their soil tested their hair and their dog finding there were toxic metal chemicals such as aluminium barium and manganese that poisoned them.
Conspiracy theorists seen and studied airplanes that show something terrifying and odd about the footage of the airplanes. Some internet users believe that this might be the big proof for the conspiracy for chemtrails. Chemtrail theorists say that generally contrials hold every person under the attack of the fear anxiety sadness and anger about this issue. U.S adults completed a survey in 2016 which was part of the cooperative congressional election study cces showing there was only 10% of people who describe the chemtrails conspiracy true and about 20 to 30% describe it somewhat true. other conspiracy theories suggest the chemtrails are an attempt by the government to control people’s minds. conspiracy believers claim to have conducted their own scientific tests which brings these conspiracy theorists to believe in the odd chemtrails.
Another popular theory is that chemtrails are attempts by the government to combat global warming by spraying chemical particles into the ozone layer into to reflect the sun's dangerous back into space. they are climate engineering with the atmosphere that is meant to manage solar radiation but also cause adverse harmful effects on the earth's atmosphere and whatever is living under it. nasa scientists found that between the years 1975 and 1994 there was a dramatic increase in temperature in the United States which would explain why there was an increase in the amount of contrails in the skies that were once blue.
Others speculate that the government is performing high altitude top secret experiments.
There is almost a complete dinnal of the chemtrails among atmospheric scientists, environmental groups and engineers of aircraft mechanics. In 20 years since the conspiracy came into discussion it has been gaining ground but only one peer-reviewed paper is actually published on this topic.
Chemtrail theorists identify persistent contrails that are much more widespread than they once were. This information is explained in the article, "Why do people believe in Chemtrails?" "dramatic increases in air traffic, as well as by changes in the fuel efficiency of jet engines leading to cooler exhaust, and increased water vapor in the atmosphere due to global warming"(Clark). Theorists for chemtrails have concluded this information through study and observation.
Conspiracy theorists have assumed evidence claiming that chemtrails are longer, differently colored and do not dissipate as quickly as normal aircraft contrails but not so people who do not believe this conspiracy and think it is just an entire space of a fool’s yard. The controversy explained that airplane contrails are lingering more than they used to is due to changes in jet engine technology in addition to an increase in air travel over the last couple decades also the atmospheric changes from global warming greatly contribute causing te artificial clouds to linger for a good amount of time. One journalist says that the partly reason why people have come to speculate so many theories is partly due to the culture of social media that arises many of the one controversies for chemtrails. Ken Caldeira, an atmospheric scientists says,"We might not convince die-hard believers that their beloved secret spraying program is just a paranoid fantasy, but hopefully their friends will accept the facts." If any piece of information conflicts with your worldview then there is a great chance that you are more likely to dismiss it.
There is an earnest debate both on the science and technology and on the societal issue to chemtrails. Unfortunately, in some areas of the society, online and real life, valid concerns are taken over the impacts of solar engineering by many fears and suspicions hence the controversies with the two views are everlasting. While the conspiracy believers are earnestly looking for the truth, it is a worth-discussing debate contributing around 60% of the internet discussions on geoengineering being conspiratorial.

The Illuminati Conspiracy Theory Essay
Has anyone ever said anything that you wondered if true or not? What if someone told you they were going to rule the world. People will do anything to take control. Everyone wants power and authority over people. There are some groups that are formed just for power. The illuminati is an organization of celebrities that are trying to rule the world.
The illuminati consist of plenty of things and ideas. The illuminati is known to be a organization who wants to take over and end the world. People also think the illuminati plans to start a new world order with a group of cities, so they will rule and banish nation states. (Martha Gill) The illuminati is claimed to be a made up myth written in fake letters by Robert Anton Wilson and Kerry Thornley to make the world less controlling. (Martha Gill.). This didn’t work out because the entire world found out about this and the people involved in the illuminati didn’t deny the rumors. The illuminati supposedly contain celebrities who want power. Their known to be represented by a pyramid. The illuminati was founded in Barvia in the 18th century by Adam Weishaupt. (Who are the illuminati and what do they control?). Dennis, Felix. "Dennis Publishing." theweek.co.uk. The Week US, 3 Sep. 2018. Web. 13 Nov. 2018.
The illuminati was caught and shut down in the 1780’s by the government but people still believe they still secretly exist. The illuminati involves and is represented by a lot of ideas. The illuminati is known to consist of celebrities. They’re supposedly a group of musical artists in the world. These names consist of Beyonce, Jay Z, Katy Perry, Rhianna, Madonna, and other musical artist. In the article "Who are the Illuminati and what do they control", talks about different celebrities and ways they are conflicted with the illuminati." This article also says how Rhianna puts illuminati images in her music videos, and also tells about how she joked about being in the illuminati. The article also says how Madonna apparently stated she "Knows the illuminati" and who’s involved.
Beyonce and Jay Z are like the ring leaders of it all. They can be seen as the lords of the New World Order. Jay Z has been caught putting symbols of the illuminati in his music. One of Jay Z’s music labels "Roc-A Fella Records" has a logo of a pyramid which is the most known symbol of the illuminati. Beyonce is the most attractive of all. They see examples of the illuminati in her dress attire, music, and kids. In one of her songs she says "Ya’ll haters corny with that illuminati mess", referencing herself to the illuminati. People question the naming of Beyonce and Jay Z’s daughter Blue Ivy. The website "beyonce-illuminati.com" states "Allegedly the name "Blue Ivy" is code word for Born Living Under Evil, Illuminati’s Very Youngest." This opens up lots of eyes and makes you question lots of things. It makes you feel there might actually be a illuminati out there somewhere. Celebrities may be a crucial pat of the illuminati and the reason if it still exists.
The pyramid is the most known symbol of the illuminati. It’s a pyramid with a eye in the middle of it. Some call it the Devil’s eye and others call it the Eye of Providence. When thinking of the Eye of Providence you think the eye in the center of the pyramid represents the eye of God and the pyramid represents strength, survival and that the new nation when ever created will survive and last a very long time. (bussinessinsider.com). In a Disney show called Gravity Falls there was a show where the illuminati happened, and the pyramid showed up trying to take over the world and threatened people to death. This shows how the illuminati can be real because most things on TV shows have already or is becoming true. The article "Sweet Symbols: The All seeing Eye" talks about how the pyramid represents a enemy hiding in plain sight and how the people your searching for are right in front of you. This article also names different organizations who symbol favors the illuminati; this list includes the CBS logo, the America Online logo, the Time Warner Cable logo, and the World of Warcraft game. This pyramid can be seen as the illuminati and what creates the illuminati.
The illuminati is a celebrity run society that’s trying to rule the world. This will make you question lots of ideas and people. This is a very wonderous thing for you to believe. It may be true or false it’s just up to you to believe it.

Conspiracy Theories in Today’s Society
Conspiracy theories are extremely popular on the internet today. On YouTube, channels dedicated to conspiracy theories have millions of subscribers and views. There appears to be conspiracy theories about everything, from celebrity deaths, to if the moon landing was real or not, and literature is not excluded from this fad. People have dedicated their lives to studying texts and authors, trying to uncover the hidden meanings behind them. There are articles, studies, podcasts, etc. where people voice their theories and back it up with evidence. Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll and Peter and Wendy by J.M Barrie have flooded the Internet with videos and articles about conspiracy theories. While some may take the children’s literature at face value, others have dug deep to find hidden messages within these stories. Though it cannot be proven that any of these theories are true, they do provide an interesting take on classic children’s literature. By looking closely at these two texts there are subliminal messages that have created conspiracy theories as to what these childrens books are actually about.
Alice in Wonderland has become quite popular since it was published in 1865. There have been numerous films inspired by the story and many children grow up with Wonderland in their lives. However, there has been speculation as to what this novel is truly about. One theory that many critics have discovered is the underlying sexual innuendos throughout the text. The start of this theory begins with Carroll’s relationship with the "real Alice," Alice Liddell. Her father was the Dean of Christ Church, where he met Carroll. Carroll befriended the young girl, and she was not the only one. In an article on BBC titled "Alice in Wonderland’s hidden messages," Hephzibah Anderson writes, "though there is no evidence of anything untoward in Dodgson’s relationships, it’s hard not to view as suspect a grown man who enjoyed having his young playmates sit on his lap and pose for photographs, often under-dressed." This background would explain why there seem to be sexual depictions in Alice in Wonderland. "From the rabbit hole itself to the curtain that she must push aside. Locks and keys were seen as symbolic of coitus, and the caterpillar well, wasn’t he just a bit phallic?" (Anderson). Before Alice starts to shrink, salt water that drips from her chin, which could suggest ejaculation and masturbation. Even the language that Carroll uses, such as Alice "penetrating" the rabbit hole seems to suggest sexual undertones. When Alice’s neck extends, resembling a male erection, her penis envy causes her to ramble on about her feet, "Oh, my poor little feet, I wonder who will put on your shoes and stocking for you now, dears?"(Carroll, 70). The picture in the text also resembles a penis with the head being larger than the neck. Theorists and critics believe these subliminal sexual messages were a result of Carroll’s own repressed sexuality and desires. It is possible that Carrolls’ personal desires made their way into his writing. It is difficult to believe that one could not realize such blatant sexual references, but perhaps theorists are just looking for faults. However, these sexual theories about Wonderland make it difficult to believe it was intended for children.
The most common conspiracy theory about Alice in Wonderland is that it is about drugs. Considering the book was written during the era of legal opium use, this idea doesn’t seem like a far stretch. Various parts of Alice’s adventures in Wonderland are psychedelic. Alice is constantly drinking potions and eating mushrooms to change her physical state, with no clear proof of what is actually in these substances.
The caterpillar smokes a hookah (Carroll 43) and the Cheshire Cat is constantly disappearing, only leaving behind his infamous grin. There have even been references in the media linking Alice in Wonderland to drugs. The lyrics to Jefferson Airplane’s song, "White Rabbit" say, "When the men on the chessboard get up / And tell you where to go / And you’ve just had some kind of mushroom / And your mind is moving low / Go ask Alice, I think she’ll know." The Matrix references Wonderland as well, "You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole Beaton 2 goes." Though many believe the drug connection in the text is obvious, Carroll wasn’t known to have a recreational drug problem himself. If Carroll did not use drugs himself, then why would he reference them in his book? There may never be a clear answer as to what Carrolls’ intentions were, but it isn’t difficult to draw connections between drugs and some of the happenings in Wonderland. It is easy to see why some believe Alice’s journey is one long trip because of the distorted sense of time and talking animals along with other interesting characters. The Cheshire Cat says it best, "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad," (Carroll 65) and what is more mad than being on drugs?
Peter and Wendy has some dark conspiracy theories surrounding it as well. "It's been more than 100 years since Peter Pan made his debut, but he's never been more popular ?” or more difficult to pin down" (Moss). J.M. Barrie had an ominous past of his own, so it would be no surprise if his trauma impacted his writing. When Barrie was 6, his Mother’s favorite child David died in an ice-skating accident the day before he turned 14 years old. After his brothers’ death, Barrie would wear his brother’s clothes and even whistled in the same manner as David in order to console his grieving mother. Barrie had some "lost boys" of his own. When the Llewelyn Davies parents passed away, Barrie assumed guardianship of the boys. "In case any blood relatives protested, he had Sylvias’ will forged, giving him custody (Edwards). There is speculation about whether or not Barrie had inappropriate relationships with these boys, all of their suspicious deaths leave room for question. Michael Davies, one of the boys that Barrie created the Peter Pan stories for and was the caretaker of, drowned when he was 21 years old, thought to be a possible suicide. George Llewelyn Davies died in 1915 while serving in the first World War. Peter Llewelyn Davies committed suicide at the age of 63. "Peter threw himself under a train. This was after he destroyed almost all the letters from Barrie to the Davies boys, sayingthey were simply ??too much’" (Edwards). Death appeared to plague Barrie’s life, which gives conspiracy theorists background to their claims. "Barrie's version of Peter Pan is quite darker than the character audiences know and love today" (Moss). To most, Peter Pan is a charismatic Disney character, but discovering these depressing origins, it leaves room for theorists to run wild. The concept of a boy never growing up appears to stem from the loss of his brother David who "as if frozen, he remained forever: a child image inhabiting the minds of those who knew him, even after Beaton 3 Barrie grew into adulthood" (Corcuera).
Barrie invented various versions of the character Peter Pan, and the first time he appeared in one of Barrie’s books adds some interesting background information. Peter Pan first appeared in Barrie’s novel The Little White Bird, written in 1902. Part of the story is a baby who flew to Kensington Gardens to avoid growing up. "This was possible because the baby, still very young, remembered being a bird in that park whose birds had the distinction of being the souls of the children who would later populate the real world" (Corcuera). The baby, Peter Pan, eventually tried to leave Kensington Gardens, but he found the window from which he flew out was closed. Instead, he saw his mother cradling another boy. "the poor boy had no choice but to stay and live in Kensington Gardens as a psychopomp?” i.e. burying the children who die in the park?”in twos because it seemed less lonely" (Concuera). Learning about the eerie past of the evolution of Peter Pan, it creates possibility for conspiracy theories to form. The novelist DH Lawrence once said of Barrie: "He has a fatal effect on those he loves. They die." Though his character has evolved over time, the connection between Barrie’s own traumatic history and Peter Pan are interesting and complex.
One theory that has resulted in numerous articles and videos is that Peter Pan kills children. Many people today are familiar with the film adaptations of Peter Pan, which leave them with a very different impression than those who have read Peter and Wendy. "Those who have read the novel might be more likely to use words like, ??sadistic,’ ??arrogant,’ and ??selfish,’" (Owlcation) to describe Peter Pan. There is no actual food in Neverland, but when Peter eats the fake meals, he is satisfied, yet the Lost Boys are still hungry after these pretend meals. The theory is that Peter kills children by "thinning them out" because growing up is against t
he rules of Neverland. This would mean that Peter Pan is already dead himself, hence why he never grows up, and why he doesn’t need real food. This theory does not seem too far fetched, especially when Peter reveals his hostile side in the book. When Wendy and the other children mention returning home, Peter grows enraged, "he was so full of wrath against grown-ups, who, as usual, were spoiling everything, that as soon as he got inside his tree he Beaton 4 breathed intentionally quick short breaths at the rate of about five to a second. He did this because there is a saying in the Neverland that, every time you breathe, a grown-up dies; and Peter was killing them off vindictively as fast as possible" (Barry). Peter hates grown-ups so much, it is not surprising that he would kill children so there are less grown-ups in the world. He even switches side mid-battle sometimes, meaning that he would then be attacking and killing the Lost Boys, who are supposed to be his friends. When Peter is away from Neverland, it becomes a peaceful place without battle, making Peter appear to be the villain. When looking closely at the text and Barrie’s history, this theory does appear to have some strong claims. Another conspiracy theory surrounding Peter and Wendy is that Neverland is where sick children go. Dr. Allison Kavey believes that Pater Pan only escapes aging because he is already dead, "there is the sense that Neverland is the place that sick children go in their minds. But some never get to come home" (Kavey). Peter never goes home because he is already dead, and he wants other sick children to stay with him so they can not grow up together. This would make sense in the end, because Wendy, Michael, John, and the lost boys all go back to live with the Darlings, meaning they’ve chosen to grow up, or live, instead of staying in Neverland with Peter. It is said that Peter Pan can be seen in the faces of Mothers’ who do not have children, which would support the idea that many children Peter takes away die, leaving mothers childless. Mrs. Darling refuses to close the window, leaving it open for the children to return, because they are not dead. Peter’s mother, however, closed the window on him, representing his death. Peter even tries to close the window so that the children will believe the Darlings don’t want their children back. Neverland has heaven-like qualities, it is a magical land where those who stay (die) can have eternal youth.
Even literature cannot escape the conspiracy theory epidemic. Both Peter and Wendy and Alice in Wonderland have theories surrounding them that are quite dark for children’s literature. Though these theories are not proven, they do add new insight and questions to the popular stories most people know and love. Perhaps these conspiracy theories have taken a piece of innocent children’s literature too far, or perhaps they have exposed the darker side to seemingly innocent novels.

The Moon Landing and Conspiracys
Abstract During 1969 the Americans landed on the moon and since then some people believe the moon landings to be a hoax, these people are called conspiracists. Many conspiracists have found evidence pointing towards the Apollo never going to the moon and it was all just a hoax and it was all filmed in a studio, and Kennedy organized it all just to win the space race. But many of these claims can be disproven like how the American flag appeared to be waving on the moon. It can also be proven we did go to the moon with Evidence such as glass spherules found on the moon that were not broken down like how found on earth. The Moon Landing July 16th 1969 at 9:32 a.m. EDT, Apollo 11 was launched and headed to the moon, on Apollo 11 is Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. Approximately twelve minutes later Apollo 11 is in Earth’s orbit. After one and a half orbits around the earth, the crew on Apollo 11 gets a "go" to head for the moon. Three days later the crew is in lunar orbit. A day after that, Armstrong and Aldrin climb into the lunar module the Eagle and begin the descent to the moon, while Collins stays orbits in the command module the Columbia. When the Eagle was making the land to the moon, Armstrong improvised and manually piloted the Eagle to land in a crater on the moon because of boulders in the way of the landing. When Armstrong landed the Eagle there was only enough fuel to last about another thirty seconds. About six and a half hours after the landing it was ten fifty-six p.m. and Armstrong exited the Eagle and was the first man on the moon. About twenty minutes later, Aldrin followed.
The Space Race was a competition between the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The two competed for technological superiority. The Space Race began in 1955 when both countries announced that they would soon be launching satellites into orbit. They both took each other’s announcement as a challenge and established their goal was to beat each other by putting a satellite into space. On October 4, 1957, the Russians placed the first successful satellite, Sputnik I into orbit. With that The Russians had taken the lead in the Space Race. Four months later the Americans successfully launched their first satellite the Explorer I. On April 12, 1961, The Soviets again won the race for putting the first man into space, Yuri Gagarin was the first man to orbit the Earth in the spacecraft Vostok I. Three weeks later the US launched the Freedom 7 with astronaut Alan Shepherd aboard. The Eagle spacecraft landed on the moon On July 20, 1969, the crew included astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. Neil Armstrong stepped outside and became the first man to walk on the Moon. With the Americans walking on the moon before the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, The Space Race was officially declared won the by the united states in the summer of 1975. The Conspiracists Moon landing conspiracists claim that the Moon landings were hoaxes staged by NASA and other organizations.
Various groups and individuals have made claims since the first moon landing that NASA did not go to the moon and say NASA manufactured, tampered, or destroyed evidence including photos, telemetry tapes, radio and TV transmissions, Moon rock samples, and even killing some people to make sure no one knew that they were faking the moon landing. Polls taken have shown that between 6% and 30% of Americans, 25% of Britons, and 28% of Russians surveyed believe that the moon landings were faked. Even in 2001 Fox news station made a documentary called "Conspiracy Theory: Did We Land on the Moon?" which claimed NASA faked the first landing in 1969 to win the Space Race. The Glass Spherules The first piece of evidence that points toward the Apollo 11 moon landing to be a hoax is The article "How Do We Know the Moon Landing Really Happened?" by Scott Davis describes that many glass spherules were found in the Moon rocks that were brought back by the Apollo crew. Glass spherules are produced two ways, the ways are in explosive volcanic activity and by high-speed meteorite impacts that melt and vaporize rock.
In either case, the rock needs time to cool and crystallize slowly. On Earth, the elements quickly break down any volcanically-produced glass, but in space, glass spherules do not break down. Glass spherules have been found in both meteorites that have fallen to Earth and in the Moon rocks returned from the Apollo missions, proving that the rocks were obtained safely from outside of earth such as the Apollo safely bringing it back. Moon Rocks are identical to rocks collected by scientists that went to Antarctica The article "Apollo 11 Moon landing: conspiracy theories debunked" states "Some Moon rocks have been found on Earth, but they are all scorched and oxidized from their entry into the Earth’s atmosphere as asteroids", but rocks from the Apollo missions brought by the many visits from moon are not scorched and oxidized, proving that they were retrieved from the moon and safely brought back to earth. The American Flag Another piece of evidence that points toward the Apollo 11 moon landing to be a hoax is that when Armstrong and Aldrin placed the American flag on the moon the flag seemed to be waving in the wind. The article "How Do We Know the Moon Landing Really Happened?" by Scott Davis states that the flag appeared to be waving because "The flag was disturbed as it was planted into the ground and kept this bent shape because of the lack of strong gravity on the Moon".
The Rock Labeled With a C In Addition, Scott Davis states that many conspiracists found a photo of a rock that was labeled with the letter "c". The conspiracists were saying that the rock was a prop on a set that was accidentally placed upside down by someone. But what most likely occurred was that a piece of hair or thread was caught in the copy machine while the image was being copied. Armstrong’s Boots Another way that the conspiracy theory can be proven false is the conspiracists had evidence that Neil Armstrong’s Spacesuit boots do not match the prints that are on the moon. This can be explained by the article "Lunar footprint mystery" by Dan Evon which states that "the footprint seen above wasn’t made by Neil Armstrong, but rather by fellow astronaut Buzz Aldrin, who accompanied Armstrong to the moon. Aldrin snapped that photograph of his own footprint to allow scientists to study the tensile strength of the lunar surface, and that photograph matches the tread on Aldrin’s boot". Also, "he and Aldrin donned a few extra pieces of gear before stepping onto the moon’s surface, including two large overshoes with treaded soles". The Reflection in the Visor After the Apollo 17 moon landing a Youtuber with the username of Streetcap1 found a photo, the photo showed an astronaut with his spacesuit on and on the moon. The photo showed the astronauts visor and a reflection in the visor. The video posted by Streetcap1 stated that in the reflection on the visor their appeared to be a person without a spacesuit. This is false and can be proven by the photo, it does appear that the person does not have a space suit but in the shadow of the astronaut, it clearly shows the bulkiness of the oxygen tank on his back. In the Apollo 12 mission there is another photo, and in this photo there is a reflection on the visor of the astronaut. This reflection shows a piece of equipment, an astronaut taking the photo and what appears to be a studio light. NASA says it is not a studio light but it could be anything from a lens flare to a smudge during the development of the photo. Blast crater Many conspiracists have brought up yet another reason why the moon landing did not occur. Their reason was that there were no craters from where the landing occurred. The photos showed no signs of the Apollo landing but NASA has stated that the landing module landed on a solid rock with a thin layer of dust and the modules thrusters are not powerful enough to cause damage to the rock. All Moon Landings Happened During Nixon's Presidency All six moon landings occurred during the time Richard Nixon was president, because of this conspiracists are saying that he made it all up just to win the race to the moon, but the Article "Apollo 11 Moon landing: Conspiracy Theories Debunked" states the reason they all occurred under president Nixon is because "the race had been won and the money dried up. The USSR has no interest in coming second, and politicians on both sides realized that lower-orbit missions had much greater commercial and military potential." Radiation from the Van Allen belt A Van Allen radiation belt is a zone of energetic charged particles that are held in place by the planets magnetic field, Earth has two of these. These belts protect the earth from solar radiation by trapping in the layer surrounding the earth. A Russian cosmonaut claimed that the radiation from the Van Allen belt would have killed the astronauts aboard the Apollo, but the Articles "Apollo Moon Landing Hoax Theories That Won't Die" By Robert Myers and Robert Pearlman and "Apollo 11 Moon landing: conspiracy theories debunked" by Richard Holt both explain how the small amount of time in the belt and with the protection from the spacecraft and with the radiation being equivalent to what of an x-ray during the time would not harm the astronauts.
The footprints in the dust on the moon are well preserved as if made in wet sand, but there is not any moisture, atmosphere or strong gravity on the moon. The reason the footprints are well preserved is because of the lack of wind on the moon means the footprints aren’t blown away, also dry, fine-grained dust particles hold their positions due to the friction between them. The stars are missing In many of the photos taken by the astronauts they show the background clearly, but from each of these photos there’s something missing, the stars! Many conspiracists say that the stars are not there because whoever was in charge of the background forgot to paint the stars on, but would NASA really forget something that important. The reason that the stars can’t be seen in the photographs is because of how much light is being reflected off the moon and the exposures they were using were very fast which does not let a lot of light into the cameras. Shadows Some people point out that some of the shadows given off by the astronauts are different in length and there are multiple shadows at different angles in the photos, which may suggest that there was more than one source of light, like a large studio lamp that a lighting system was set up incorrectly on a stage somewhere, and NASA had failed to notice the inconsistencies.
Many scientists argue that this is false and give reasonable explanations such as "Apollo Moon Landing Hoax Theories That Won't Die" By Robert Myers and Robert Pearlman states "The astronauts were taking their photos on a hilly, brightly-lit landscape while the sun was close to the horizon. Imagine taking a photograph of someone on a rolling, uneven field of snow during a full, low-hanging moon. The contours of the ground would produce shadows of many different lengths." Also "Why do some people believe the moon landings were a hoax?" by John Fuller describes that "Scientists argue that the photos were taken on rough, hilly landscapes, which are bound to produce all kinds of wacky shadow lengths no matter where you stand. If you take a picture on a snow-covered hill, for instance, the same kind of effect will likely take place." The Backgrounds Many websites describe that conspiracists claim that the backgrounds on the photos are identical backgrounds in other photos that NASA said were taken miles apart, This suggests that a painted background was used And NASA thought they could get away with it.
What actually is occurring is the backgrounds were not identical, just similar. What appears as nearby hills in some photos are actually mountains many miles away. They just appear close because there are very few objects such as trees and buildings to help judge distance. Melting Under the sun’s rays the moon would have been at around 280 degrees Fahrenheit. Several people have made claims that under the extreme heat the film and several other things would have melted. Scientist’s come back to this claim described by the article "Apollo Moon Landing Hoax Theories That Won't Die" By Robert Myers and Robert Pearlman states that "No one was leaving bare film out on the hot lunar surface. All material was contained in protective canisters. In addition at the time the Apollo missions landed, they were either at lunar dawn or dusk. As a result, the temperature was more easily manageable. Wires and dust Some people have pointed out the moon landing occurred in a studio and to create the effect of weak gravity on the moon the astronauts were carried by thin or transparent wires and filmed jumping around. Then NASA would have slowed down the film in order to make it look like they were floating through the air. Scientists disproved this claim because of the dust. Scientists said that the dust was kicked around by the astronauts as they move around the moon's surface. If NASA filmed the video on Earth, the dust would gather into clouds because of air in the atmosphere. Instead, the dust is kicked up and falls right back to the ground without collecting or floating around. It would have been possible for NASA to build a studio and create a vacuum but that is considered to be something that would be incredibly difficult, even by today's standards. Two Hills "MOON HOAX PROVED? Is this where NASA filmed 'fake lunar landings on Earth?" by Jon Austin describes how David Bryan believes a hill near the summit of Mauna Kea in Hawaii may have been used as a backdrop for some of the footage. He compared NASA images of a mountain near Taurus Littrow, said to have been taken on the Moon during the 1972 Apollo 17 mission, with the Hawaiian scene, and believes the backgrounds to be the same one. Many people have stated that they look similar but are not the same at all.
Conclusion
In conclusion many conspiracists believe that NASA never went to the moon and to prove this they find evidence of it not happening such as radiation would have killed the astronaut and the conspiracists also find evidence that it was filmed on earth and not the moon with evidence such as their being studio lights with evidence such as funny shadows and in a photo of an astronaut there is a reflection of the studio light in their visors. But there are ways to disprove these claims like how the reflection could just have been a smudge when the photo was being developed. There are also many ways to disprove many of the conspiracist’s claims of the moon landing being a hoax.

Conspiracy Theories as a Genre
There are a variety of definitions surrounding the concept of conspiracy theories. Conspiracy theories are complex and have different purposes or ideas that one could even argue that "To give a denotative definition of the term "conspiracy theory" is profoundly misleading" (Perry). Although this is somewhat true, most conspiracy theories share the same set of conventions, allowing us to broadly define the concept and place it into a genre. The most prominent definition one should focus on is based on the idea that "Two things seem to be essential to a conspiracy. First, a conspiracy necessarily involves a group of agents acting together. It is impossible to conspire alone. Second,a conspiracy is secretive" (Coady). In simpler words, a conspiracy theory usually contains a group of conspirators who secretly orchestrate an event for their own benefit. In addition, a conspiracy theories can be seen as an alternative truth to the "official story". Why is understanding conspiracy theories important? It is important to understand how conspiracy theories are formed, and the conventions used to persuade the audience, in order to help oneself develop a better understanding of rhetoric.
Multiple claims about the definition and purpose about conspiracy theories clash with each other. For example, "Others make little distinction between conspiracy theories and conspiracies and so do not wish to study conspiracy theories at all" (Uscinski 31). This quote demonstrates that some people believe conspiracy theories are not important at all. Another claim that somewhat relates to this quote is that "Some approach conspiratorial beliefs as "mistruths," "misinformation," "misperceptions," "myths," and "false beliefs" and wish to study them as a species of informational or mental error" (Uscinski 31). In other words some people argue that conspiracy theories are just misinterpretations of the truth and lead to false claims, therefore defining conspiracy theories as "mental error". Believing that conspiracy theories are based on "mental error" is a prominent claim about conspiracy theories. For example, in Lance deHaven-Smith’s book Conspiracy Theory in America, deHaven-Smith states, "Conspiratorial beliefs are associated with mental illness, including paranoia, obsession, and psychosis and tend to be believed by those exhibiting antisocial, bigoted, and sociopathic behavior." Based on this claim, one can see that conspiracy theories arise based on paranoia. Another prominent claim regarding the definition of conspiracy theories comes from the book American Conspiracy Theories by Joseph E. Uscinski and Joseph M. Parent. The authors claim , "We define conspiracy as a secret arrangement between two or more actors to usurp political or economic power, violate established rights, hoard vital secrets, or unlawfully alter government institutions" (Uscinski 31). This quote explains how most people would define conspiracy theories as the explanation that a group or people conspire for political gain. Overall, conspiracy theories are either portrayed as figments of imagination or as secret truths.
The complexity of a conspiracy theory comes down to these three questions: Who did it? Why did they do it/ What do they gain out of it? How did they do it? Being able to answer these questions will help the audience be able to identify a conspiracy theory as well as its conventions and categorize it into a genre. As for the definition of conspiracy theories, we see them as an alternative truth that depicts a group of people orchestrating an event for their own benefit. To identify the conventions shared between different conspiracy theories, we will be focusing on three different conspiracy theories. The theory of what actually happened/caused 9/11, the assassination of John F. Kennedy, and the moon landing hoax.
The conspiracy theory regarding the events of 9/11 are based on the idea that the government was involved in or knew of 9/11. Loose Change, a film written by Dylan Avery, explains this theory and provides evidence. First of all, any conspiracy theory regarding such a tragic event is more likely to be more believable. For example, in Patterns of Prejudice, by Jeffrey M. Bale, "Second, they purport to identify the underlying source of misery and injustice in the world, thereby accounting for current crises and upheavals and explaining why bad things are happening to good people or vice versa." This quote explains how people see conspiracy theories as an answer to their suffering. Going back to the theory of 9/11, Loose Change explains that on the morning of 9/11 various war games were happening. Not only did these war games simulate hijacked planes but it also drew fighter jets away from the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, leaving us helpless. This made people very suspicious as it seemed as if the government knew the planes were going to be hijacked. Now why would they let this happen? Conspiracists say it was to give the U.S. government a reason to interfere with the Middle East.
There are many conspiracy theories regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy (JFK), but the most prominent one was that it was an inside job. At the time, the ongoing cold war was happening and many people did not agree with JFK’s ideals. According to ABC News, "The gist of the theory is that Johnson was motivated by ambition and received help from members of the CIA and wealthy tycoons who believed they would profit more under a Johnson administration." This quote basically explains why the government’s motive for killing JFK, they wanted Lyndon B. Johnson to become president. There is no way to disprove this theory, therefore making it somewhat believable.
The moon landing conspiracy theory revolves around the idea that the moon landing was faked. There were many observations made (regarding to the picture of the moon landing) that just didn’t add up. According to Time Magazine, "Film of Aldrin planting a waving American flag on the moon, which critics say proves that he was not in space. The flag's movement, they say, clearly shows the presence of wind, which is impossible in a vacuum". This quote explains why conspiracy theorists think the moon landing was faked. Another reason why people believed the moon landing was faked is because it wouldn’t have been possible because of the Van Allen Radiation belt. According to American Patriot Friends Network, the Van Allen radiation belt would have killed anyone. The big question is what does the U.S get out of faking it? People believe it was faked because the U.S wanted to beat Russia regarding being the first person on the moon.
What do all of these conspiracy theories have in common? These three conspiracy theories all believe that epistemic authorities were the cause of the events. In some way the government was always involved. Another thing they have in common is the fact that they all had political benefit. 9/11 caused involvement with the Middle East, the assassination of JFK caused Lyndon B. Johnson to become president, and the moon landing hoax made the U.S win the race to space. Using this information, it’s safe to say that most conspiracy theories point to the government as the conspirators. To put conspiracy theories under a genre is not possible because there are various different kinds of conspiracy theories. Conspiracy theories should be a genre of its own.
Recognizing the definition of conspiracy theories as an alternative truth is important because not only does it help the reader be able to identify whether or not something is a conspiracy theory but it also gives a new perspective to how conspiracy theories are portrayed. Most to all conspiracy theories propose a different version of the "official story". According to The Art of the Conspiracy Theory, by Sarah Perry, "Rather than viewing conspiracy theories as mind viruses that infect passive participants, I will defend the view that the conspiracy theory is an active, creative art form, whose truth claims serve as formal obstructions rather than being the primary point of the endeavor. False conspiracy theories might even help us understand reality." This quote describes conspiracy theories as an art form that challenge people’s beliefs as they make us question whether or not what we are being told is true or not. By doing so, we are becoming more socially aware of our surroundings. Also, we become more aware of the different kinds of strategies people use to make their arguments more believable. Effectively, the audience becomes more acquainted with rhetoric.
Conspiracy theories are important in the world because they have historical and political significance. Most conspiracy theories are based on past events, take the collapse of the World Trade center as an example. Most conspiracy theories also blame epistemic authorities for orchestrating these historical events with the interest of political gain. Going back to the 9/11 example, conspiracy theorists state that the government was involved in or knew of 9/11 before it even happened. Overall, conspiracy theories show a different explanation to a event that has occurred or is occurring. Deciding whether or not conspiracy theories are a genre of its own or whether it is a genre at all is up to you.?

Creationism and Evolution Debate
There is always an uncertain issue in the debate. Creationism and Evolution who is correct? This is a very interesting debate about the origin of life. How was the first person in the world born? As an atheist, I believe that all species are constantly evolving. Although some things cannot be fully explained by contemporary science, there are many things that God can't do in the omnipotent God mentioned in Creationism. This is somewhat contradictory. China is a country with a history of 5,000 years. Our country also has myths, but why don't people believe in these myths? Can prove a simple little historical story. There are countless emperors in ancient China. It cannot be said that every emperor contributes to mankind, but they are all exposed to the people recognized by God. Countless emperors dream of being with the world, but no one can succeed. There are also gods in our country, but God does not help those who have contributed to a longer life, but daily labor makes their life shorter than others. Let us look at the religious pope. The same status is sublime. Can they really get endless life? The answer is no. Now, the development of science and technology in the 21st century has gone far beyond thousands of years. But there are still many people who choose to believe in the existence of God. However, the theory of biological evolution written by Darwin has been recognized by most scientists. The laws of thermodynamics also confirm that nothing is suddenly created. God who can do everything in the eyes of believers cannot stop natural disasters and massacres. God is what people think of, he does not exist in the world. The so-called God is only the beautiful fantasy of believers.
First of all, the existence of life can be said to be a miracle. From single-celled organisms to humans, it has undergone a long evolution. People are made up of countless cells. How was life born? As we all know, water is the source of life, and every cell contains a lot of water. Water is the source of life. Then another problem has arisen how did the water on earth come from? The water on Earth comes from a comet of ice made up of space. Scientists have discovered that water on the surface of the earth will be lost to space. This is because the water vapor molecules in the atmosphere are decomposed into hydrogen atoms and oxygen atoms under the action of the ultraviolet rays of the sun. When a hydrogen atom reaches a thin high-heat layer of 80-100 km, the speed of hydrogen atoms will exceed the speed of the universe, and then it will disappear from the atmosphere and enter space. According to scientific research, there is no water on the earth. Billions of years ago, there were many meteorites containing hydrogen and oxygen, which fell on the earth and eventually formed water. (MinuteEarth). The water on earth is born like this. Water first appeared on Earth, and then life began to appear. There is no doubt that it took a lot of time since evolution of single celled organisms to humans.
Second, Atheism, God does not exist. Although China has never opposed citizens' religious beliefs, most Chinese do not have religious beliefs. If there is a problem and wait for God to forgive, this isn't a good idea. It is best, to sum up, experience and reduce the continuation of errors. "Let’s consider three of God’s best-known divine attributes: his omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence."(Nelson) If God really exists, why have we never seen him? So many natural disasters on earth, why don't God choose to help or love us? Many species are extinct or endangered. Why does God not stop the extinction of the species he created? Although there are some things that science can't explain clearly, people should not mark the unknown with God's label. The events and facts described by God are contradictory.
All physical theories are terminated by inductive methods, which is logically imprecise. For example, Newton's law of motion, after summarizing, a large number of experiments and observations are consistent with the theory, then we believe that Newton's law of motion is correct until there is an experiment or phenomenon that violates Newton's laws of motion, and then we think that theory is wrong, or Give up or fix it. The scientific proposition must be true. The proposition of "God exists" cannot be true in itself, so the proposition "God exists" is not a scientific proposition. A God we will never see, touch, and never affect us, in fact, it does not exist. Everyone will get sick. The best way to get sick is to go to the hospital for scientific treatment instead of lying in bed waiting for God to heal your illness. The same disease may be cured in the hospital within a week, but if you insist see God in the same week. Because you died because of delays.
How was the first human being born? Darwin's theory of evolution confirms the evolutionary history of mankind. People think that life and some of its abilities are initially injected into a few types or types by the "creator", and the most beautiful and bizarre types are considered to be so simple gravity when the earth continues to operate according to established laws. The beginning, the past, the past and the present are still evolving; this view is very spectacular. (Darwin) Human evolution is a long process of change, and humans originate from the ancestors of apes. Scientific evidence suggests that the physiological and behavioral characteristics shared by all are derived from the ancestors of the genus and evolved after approximately six million years. (Smithsonian Human Origins Program) The evolutionary process involves a series of natural changes that lead to the emergence of species (populations of different organisms), adaptation to the environment and extinction. All species or organisms are produced through biological evolution processes. In sexually reproducing animals, including humans, the term species refers to groups that adults often cross, resulting in the fertility of offspring - that is, the offspring themselves can reproduce. Scientists classify each species as a unique, two-part scientific name. In this system, modern people are classified as Homo sapiens.
Thermodynamic law. Thermodynamics sounds unrelated to evolution, but there is a very important law in the laws of thermodynamics: no energy is produced, and it does not disappear.
Energy does not appear out of thin air or disappears from the air. It can only be transferred from one object to another, or from one form to another, and the total energy remains constant during the conversion or transfer process. (The Laws of Thermodynamics) At the beginning of the twentieth century, Einstein discovered that energy and mass can change each other. This law is changed to the law of conservation of energy. This law applies to the first law of thermodynamics and thermodynamics. Since energy is conserved, it does not suddenly produce anything. What kind of people does God use to create? Who is created by God? These are undetermined issues. No one can give an answer. This is just an illusion. Why do you believe in these unfounded ideas and not on rational arguments?
Why do so many people believe in the existence of God? The development of science today is not complete enough, so there are some unsolved mysteries that we cannot explain. But these do happen, so people choose to believe in the existence of God. God is always associated with religion. In religion, there is a hierarchical hierarchy, there are many people around us who believe in God. Once I learned in a chat that my friend is now a Christian as an apprentice. In the chat with her, I found a very interesting thing. There is always a question in the regular meeting of Christians: Would you like to donate 100 dollars to Christianity in the name of the child of God? Why is omnipotent God not willing to provide endless money directly to Christianity? Why does God who wants to collect this money? Can it be said that God will also play cards to lose money and spend dollars? Why does God not stop natural disasters and massacres? (The Atheist Voice) God did not appear when we really needed God, and all those who have seen God are no longer in the world.
So far, Creationism and evolution still have no accurate way to define who is right. This problem can only be discovered through human exploration. But with the development of science, everything is biased towards evolution. Few people in China are involved in the issues of creationism and evolution. There are indeed many things that science cannot explain, so creationism and evolution cannot define right and wrong, but it is well known that human beings should be equal. Rather than the hierarchy included in Christianity. This is not in line with the development of society. Let us look at a survey: the majority of Britons, including adherents of the major faiths, now accept evolutionary theory. The results of the research at Birmingham Newman University, the Knowledge and Faith Science Center and the investigative agency of the UK Science Festival in Brighton, West Sussex, were unveiled on Tuesday (September 5). It is part of a broader international research project called Science and Religion: Exploring the Spectrum Funded by the Templeton Religious Trust. More than 4,000 adults in the UK and Canada accepted the study and found that: 71% of UK respondents and 60% of Canadian respondents accept evolutionary theories about the origin of species. These figures include those who have religious beliefs. Only 9% of Britons and 15% of Canadians accepted the story of the Bible. This is in stark contrast to a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center in 2015, which found that 34% of Americans believe that humans have always existed in their present form.
About 64% of British adults believe that accepting evolutionary science is easily consistent with their personal beliefs; the proportion of Canadian adults is lower, at 50%. Although the number of people surveyed is not particularly large, it can fully prove that humans have gradually accepted the theory of evolution. After all, science is on the evolution side. God is the concept of man. Believe that the people of Genesis want to do everything, God can bring us the best life, but the reality is that all success depends on oneself and not God.

Is Creationism Viable Compared to Evolution
As a naturally inquisitive species, the human race has questioned where we came from for thousands of years. Dating back to years even before antiquity, for example, an all-powerful force was utilized to explain all information (or lack thereof) that the naked eye could not extrapolate into concrete answers. The sun, for example, rose, because the Greek God Zeus pushed it up into the sky each morning; now, with advancements in science by devoted researchers and engineers, we know that the sun appears to rise because of the earths rotation on it’s axis, and consequently there is not only no longer a need for "god", there is no room for one. This also gives us an important piece of information that we can use to predict the downfall of fallacious beliefs, and a rise in a belief in science based on volumes of proof and data: that science and religion are inversely related, and the more we are able to explain with science, the less humans have a necessity for religion.
To support my claims, an English ethnologist, evolutionary biologist, and author, Richard Dawkins, interprets the purpose of humanity and the meaning of life from a scientific and evolutionary perspective. In an effort to remain open-minded, Dawkins explores a myriad of religious ideologies in their attempt to assign purpose to human existence. Dawkins presents that, while religion may have been applicable for less advanced societies of the past, religious mythologies utterly fail in the context of modern civilization due to their contradiction with rationality and contemporary mores. (c.d.) Dawkins goes on to entertain various religious allegations against evolutionary theory, particularly the belief that evolution suggests human beings are not unique or special, and thus life is as simple as a meaningless struggle for survival; in other words making the previous statement a rather nihilistic claim to the meaning of life. Dawkins goes on to refute this opinion, contending that it is the advancement of our species, as well as our avid ability to form abstract ideas inherently gives meaning to our lives in a way that eclipses the mere survival value implied by strict evolutionary theory. For Dawkins, the awe-inspiring nature of scientific improvement proves that we are indeed a "special animal", even without the metaphysical implications that are endorsed by various religions. Dawkins, Richard. "Why Are We Here? What Is the Purpose of Life - Richard Dawkins." Youtube, Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason & Science, 2009, www.youtube.com/watch?v=mT4EWCRfdUg.In a sense the theory of creation sets boundaries, while evolution allows free range. Evolution is directed by effectiveness while creation is directed by the theoretician’s values.
The difference is not necessarily boundaries being set on beliefs but boundaries being set on what you can do with them. Evolution, The Big Bang and adaptation, for example, are essentially the building blocks of science. People can simply observe these theories in the universe around us in both living and non-living objects. We can observe suns that are of the same or similar composure but are in a different point in their life cycle than ours; and of course, we can also observe it in, as many know, species of animals/humans. Without embracing ideological beliefs like evolution the human race cannot advance in science and utilize the information and knowledge it’s gathered to better the world around us. Meaning, evolution can potentially proceed in an infinitely better adapted direction, but creationist theory is driven by a creator and therefore the values of that creator. And since a conscious creator is a man made concept, the creator’s values are really just man’s values projected onto a fabricated deity and woven into the religious man’s explanation for science. In a similar fashion, one can use religion to form a sense of fulfilling community, a sense of comfort, etc. for individuals that need it that may not be satisfied or may be fearful of constructs of science that point to answers that are uncomfortable.
This documentary by physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking goes into whether there is a need for a supernatural being to create and control the universe in order for it to exist today. Humans, like the Vikings, have invented deities to explain natural phenomena when scientific explanations weren’t available. These misinterpretations may provide insight into the question of needing a god to have created the universe. Another point to consider includes the set of physical laws that govern the way the universe works. These natural laws cannot be changed and are therefore very powerful. Hawking inquires that since these laws are fixed. Finally, what were the vital "ingredients" needed to bring up the universe? Answering this question may explain if these components could have created the universe without the necessity of a supernatural being. Is There a God? Stephen Hawking (Documentary). Perf. Stephen Hawking. N.d. Web. The Vikings, as well as several other groups of peoples, invented gods and legends to describe how their world was functioning. It is now reasonable to believe that the majority of these tales were false, as they were created for the lack of scientific explanation of natural events. For instance, the Vikings’ god who lived in the sky was the cause of solar eclipses, as described to sometimes "eat the sun". In 300 B.C., Aristarchus studied the heavens and discovered that a lunar eclipse is formed when the shadow of the earth passes over the moon. This lead to the discovery that the solar system functions; heliocentrically rather than geocentrically, as the common belief was. Understanding that the earth revolves around the sun is key to knowing how all eclipses are possible.
A solar eclipse is then defined as the shadow of the moon passing over the earth. Therefore, the Vikings were wrong about their god being the reason for solar eclipses. This example shows how the universe is not as supernatural as it may seem to be. If science can explain natural phenomena such as eclipses, then perhaps the universe can also be explained without the involvement of god(s). Hawking says that the understanding of natural laws is humankind’s greatest achievement. Physical laws describe how things work in the past, present, and future. This is why the laws are so powerful, as well as because they are unexceptionally unchangeable. In a game of tennis, natural laws are responsible for how the ball reacts when it is hit. The motion of the ball is determined by the force and angle of the strike of the racket and physical laws control the rest.
The importance of these governing laws is that they not only apply to earthly events, but to everything else in the universe. Is There a God? Stephen Hawking (Documentary). Perf. Stephen Hawking. N.d. Web. With that being said, what role is there for God? Is There a God? Stephen Hawking (Documentary). Perf. Stephen Hawking. N.d. Web. The answer is simple; there is no role for a god to play, there is simply only evolution. This comes back to what I touched on before, that science and religion are inversely related. As the grasp on physiological properties of the universe grows, the need for explanation through divine deity lessens. The role of god was simply to explain the unexplainable-with limited technology and therefore inability to form an explanation through information (or lack thereof) observed with the naked eye, human kind filled those gaps with a greater power. As technology advanced and the gaps became filled with reasonable and tested explanations, people no longer had room for god.
Evolution has an extremely well understood mechanism of action. If anything, it is limited by the direction in which it progresses. Creationism is unlimited and therefore completely random and arbitrary. Additionally, evolution contradicts not only the creationist theory, but also renders the theory of intelligent design useless by suggesting that all of this beautiful overwhelming complexity and diversity of life has occurred in a natural progression without the assistance of a god or gods. Creationism is unlimited because the idea it is based off of is unlimited. However, what creationists can do with it becomes limited as they deny basic constructs of science that do not coincide with their beliefs. Religion is limited in what it can achieve in the sense that yes, people can form a sense of overwhelming community and comfort, however creating new technology and deepening our understanding of the mechanisms of the universe around us falls short in a realistic sense.
Kenneth Alfred Ham is an Australian-born Christian fundamentalist and young Earth creationist living in the United States. He is best known for being the current president of Answers in Genesis, a creationist apologetics organization that operates the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. A rather popular statement of his includes, "The word evolution has been hijacked at the center of Ken Ham's argument was that there is a big difference between observational and experimental sciences compared to what Mr. Ham called "historical science". Historical science, Mr. Ham argues, is where you interpret data about an event that you did not directly observe. The comparison would be between seeing a crime happen, compared to piecing together what happened by examining the evidence afterwards. If you see something happen, you know exactly what you saw. But looking at evidence afterwards means there are multiple possible versions of events. With more evidence, the number of possible versions decreases, but Mr. Ham insists that the version of events he supports is still possible with current scientific data. One particularly implausible element in the realm of Christianity that Ham supports is the widespread myth of Noah’s Ark.
The idea that the entire earth was under water for an entire year, while a single boat made up of wood built by 8 unskilled men sailed on open ocean carrying two of each living land and sea mammal, insect, and reptile on it is inconceivable. There is a multitudinous amount of transgressions within this idea; one should focus on just a few. First and foremost, the Grand Canyon is a wonderful, remarkable place, where there is a high concentration of fossils. These fossils are found in layers, due to the process of stratification. Each layer represents a different time, and the type of animals that lived there. In the entirety of the Grand Canyon, there is not a single place where the fossils from one time period are found crossing over into another; if there was a large flood over the entire earth, one might expect drowning animas to try and swim up to another layer and therefore die and be trapped with fossils of much older times in that different layer. Genesis, Answers in. "Bill Nye Debates Ken Ham - HD (Official)." YouTube, YouTube, 4 Feb. 2014, www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6kgvhG3AkI.
There is no evidence of this. Now, one should take a look at an extraordinary mammal, the kangaroo. The kangaroo is found exclusively in Australia, and for as far back as we can research, has only been native to that single continent. The idea of Noah’s Ark states that Noah’s Ark landed safely aground in India. In other words, the kangaroo would have had to somehow safely traveled 4,182 miles from India to Australia-however, no one has ever found kangaroo fossils between India and Australia, no kangaroo fossils in India, and no evidence of a land bridge ever connecting these two continents. Genesis, Answers in. "Bill Nye Debates Ken Ham - HD (Official)." YouTube, YouTube, 4 Feb. 2014, www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6kgvhG3AkI.
Another remarkable thing I would like for everyone to consider is a ship that goes by the name The Wyoming. The Wyoming is the largest wooden ship ever built. It was built by a large group of very skilled shipwrights. This boat is about 1/3 the size that Noah’s Ark is assumed to be. The problem with The Wyoming, however, is that because of the physiological properties of wood, the ship would twist in open ocean. The sailors could not keep water out of the boat, until eventually the boat capsized in open ocean, a loss of all 14 crewmembers maintaining the ship. Wounded Knee -- Wyoming Tales and Trails, The Schooners Wyoming, the Governor Brooks and the Washakie; General Kabis' Ashes., 19 Aug. 1999, www.wyomingtalesandtrails.com/sswyoming.html. Based on this information, is it reasonable to say that 8 common people could have built a significantly larger boat made solely out of wood, and maintained the boat, something that the most skilled shipmen in the world equipped with cutting edge technology for their time could not do? This is simply not a plausible claim to suggest. Genesis, Answers in. "Bill Nye Debates Ken Ham - HD (Official)." YouTube, YouTube, 4 Feb. 2014, www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6kgvhG3AkI.
To summarize, religion itself is limitless. The utilization of religion for advancement, however, has significant limitations. I think this scale also begs for an understanding of the definition of god in this context. The popular belief of creationism stems from basic human instinct that is something I believe is commonly overlooked in this conversation. We as living beings do not want to die. Couple a strong instinct of fear of death with an inquisitive brain found exclusively in human species and an impregnable desire for comfort, and you have a consummate recipe for creation of religion to fortify and bolster a need for eternal life. We see something very similar happen in terminally ill patients who have not come to grips with the nebulous idea that their life is going to come to an end: everybody knows it, however they are in a sense of denial. That is the exact same sense of denial found in billions of individuals of the human species who spoon feed themselves the improbable idea that there is something after: because humans have a desire for comfort and a fear of death.

Opinions about Creation and Evolution
Evolution and Creationism are the two main opinions about how humans came to be. Evolution tries to explain how we came from chimpanzees in a yet to be identified common ancestor. Christianity explains that God created everything, and that man was created in His own image separate from animals. The scientific method is how we determine if something is a sound theory, but evolution goes against it.
Christianity gives a simple explanation for how we came into existence as well as why we exist. We are created to give glory to God and bring others to Him so after we die, we can spend eternity with Him in perfection. In evolution, we are nothing more than an accident that has a beginning and an end. This essay is about the proof that evolution is not how is not how the human race came to be, but that God created everything. Evolution goes against the scientific method because for something to be proven it has to be repeatable, and we have never found life on another planet to support the scientific method. One scientist named Erik Zackrisson from Uppsala University in Sweden did an experiment using the earth as a model to determine how many of the billions of planets in the universe would have life on them. He found that only one planet in the entire universe could have life on it, and that planet is Earth. For the scientific method to work something has to be repeatable under the same circumstances, and if in Erik Zackrisson’s experiment Earth is the only planet that has life on it, so then evolution cannot be how we came into existence because it goes against one of the fundamental principles of science. There are many scientists who have tried to disprove creation and ended up converting to Christianity. One very famous English Philosopher Antony Flew who once said "I now believe there is a God...I now think it [the evidence] does point to a creative Intelligence almost entirely because of the DNA investigations.
What I think the DNA material has done is that it has shown, by the almost unbelievable complexity of the arrangements which are needed to produce life, that intelligence must have been involved in getting these extraordinarily diverse elements to work together." ("Antony Flew Quotes (Author of There Is a God)") Scientists believe that humans and chimpanzees separated about 6 million years ago. They believe that there is a common ancestor that humans and chimpanzees diverged from. While there is still a lot of debate on which extinct species is the one we diverged from, scientists are certain there is one out there. The main theory about how humans evolved from chimpanzees is that chromosome 2 in humans was two separate chromosomes that combined into one from chromosome 12 and 13 in chimps ("Mystery of the Missing Chromosome" 2012). They believe that it was a random fusion in primates’ evolution that led to humans. If we look at what chromosome 2 does and how one mutation in one animal would work, we can see that this theory is impossible. Chromosome 2 is the second largest of 46 chromosomes and makes up 8% of our DNA. If two chromosomes combined into one that is only 8% of our total DNA ("Genetically Related to Bananas?" 2018). It doesn’t make sense that it would evolve into an entirely different species. The chromosome slip would have had to happen in thousands of primates to begin a new step in evolution but for a genetic mishap to happen on such a large scale is impossible. If it were to happen in one primate that genetic defect would have filtered out as a new generation of primates came along or would have died as an outcast for being so different from its own kind.
Scientists say that we share over 90% of our genetic makeup with primates which sounds like a lot and without explanation you could come to the conclusion that we came from primates. But we also share 60% percent of genetic makeup with bananas, but we are nothing like a banana so how does that make sense? The reason we are so similar to these two things is in the protein makeup. Protein is one of the basic structures that make us, and primates share a lot of the same proteins, and they contribute to breaking down what we eat. Humans like primates eat lots of fruits and meats. Another reason we are so similar is that we were made by the same creator. It would not make any sense for one creator to make us and there be no similarities. Like with phones, there are many different types and functions, but they all can call, text, and now connect to the internet. They all have similar circuit boards and displays made by the same manufacturer. Just like how God made everything, we have DNA and many other things similar that would be expected if everything was made by one creator but many differences. One thing that separates us from primates is our ability to wonder, recognize our own existence, create, communicate with a verbal and written language, and have a soul.
Evolution says that life came into existence because the condition were just right for some primordial pools of amino acids and other chemicals for basic proteins and eventual DNA. Thousands of hours of research have gone into this theory and scientists are pretty sure this is how we came into existence even though they have not proven it or been able to repeat it even with the amazing scientific advancements and achievements we have achieved as a race. The probability of life happening just on one planet (Earth) is an astronomically huge number using the Drake Equation N = R* ?? fp ?? ne ?? fl ?? fi ?? fc ?? L (Howell 2018) just the probability of one ribozyme forming is 4^300 over a 13-billion-year period ("Calculating The Odds" 2014). That is not even the probability of RNA or DNA forming, let alone life let alone life that could evolve into what we are today.
According to the Bible, the universe and everything in it were created in six days by God. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. On the first day, He created light and dark. On the second day, He created the sky to separate the surface of the earth from the atmosphere. On the third day, He created the land, the oceans, and vegetation. On the fourth day, He created our sun and moon as well as all the stars in the universe. On the fifth day, He created the fish and mammals of the water and the birds of the air. On the sixth day, He created animals of the land then separate from the animals He created man and took time to sculpt man in His own image and likeness to rule over the earth. God created us separately from everything else, and not only that He made us in His own image. This is the biggest difference from primates that prove we did not come from them. We are self-aware, ask questions like why are we here, and how did we get here and have the ability to advance ourselves and invent things to make life easier and safer. We have our own language on many forms: we can speak it, write it, feel it and sign it. Monkeys have been taught sign language before and only know how to answer questions when asked one they have never and will never ask one because they were not created to; they only have survival instincts, not free will to do and ask like humans. This is the proof that we are created by God and not some random act of the universe that created life just to be born and die period. We were created by a loving God who gave us a purpose a beginning and no end because for those who believe we are promised an eternal life after death a perfect life with Him in heaven.
