Aunt Alexandra believes that Scout is plain and dull. Allusion: This quotation is an allusion to Rice Christians. Rice Christians is described as someone who has declare itself Christian for material benefits. People converted to Christianity to receive charity and material advancements. This term comes from Asian countries. Aunt Alexandra refers to the Missionary Society throughout the long reports on Rice Christians. As Scout and Jem get older they will start to question Atticus more. Most parents would have avoided that question. Atticus is true to his believes which means he is honest with his children s.
