The primary victims in Stage Two of Great Expectations is Pip, Mrs. Havisham, Joe, and Estella. A victim's is a person that is duped, taken advantage of, or hurt. Many of the characters in Great Expectations were victim's. These character have been hurt an abundance of many times, But due to how these characters deal with those experiences. It's difficult for the readers to portray them as the victims they is.

Joe was hurt several times by the boy he raised up which is Pip, and his wife, Miss Havisham. Pip turned his back on Joe and became ashamed of who he was. Miss Havisham's treatment to her brother, Pip caused him to treat Joe as if he's lowly. Diwisions among such much come, and must be met at they come. If there is any fault at all today, it's mine. You and me is not two figures to be together in London; nor yet anywheres else but what is private, and be known, and understood among friends. p.239. Joe's love for Pip makes him willing to accept the blame for their division when it wasn't his fault.

Joe's wasn't be seen as a victim at times cause of his passiveness. Joe allowed people to treat him as if he's inferior. Estella said if you had brought up your adopted daughter wholly in the dark confinement of these rooms, and had never let her know that there was a such thing as the daylight by which she has never once seen your face-if you had done that, and then for a purpose, had wanted her to understand the daylight and know all about it, you would've been disappointed and angry? p. 329. She raised her daughter Estella to hate the sunlight, which is men, and is how she is.
