LeBron James – Great Basketball Player

“LeBron James is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers.” He has achieved many awards that he is known for the best basketball player in the world. Some of the awards that he had achieved were; four NBA most valuable player awards, three NBA finals MVP awards, two Olympic gold medals, been named NBA All-star MVP three times, and won the 2008 NBA scoring title. LeBron James was born on December 30 in the year of 1984. He grew up with his mother Gloria Marie James mainly, because his father Anthony McClelland had a huge criminal record and wasn’t involved in their life. When he was in fifth grade he began to play basketball. Led by James and his friends Sian Cotton, Dru Joyce |||, Willie McGee his team enjoyed their accomplishment on a local and national level. James and his friends attended the same High school together.

In his hometown of Akron, Ohio he played basketball for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. St. Vincent-St. Mary High School was a private Catholic school with mostly white students who attended. James was very talented at playing basketball. LeBron James is a father of three kids, and he is also married to Savannah Brinson his wife for three years already. During his four years in High School, in general, he scored 2,657 points, 892 rebounds, and 523 assists. When James was a freshman, he scored moderate 18 points per game. In the championship game, he scored 25 points helping the team get division ||| state title. When James was a sophomore, he was the first sophomore ever selected for the USA Today All-USA first team award. Also, his team won a second year in a row the Division ||| state title. He scored moderately 25.2 points per game. When he was a junior, James was advertised in an American Basketball magazine “The Best High School Basketball Player In America Right Now” by Ryan Jones.

Ryan Jones admired James as possible. He was the first junior ever to be named male basketball Gatorade National Player of the Year at his school. James scored moderately 29 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 5.7 assists per game that he played. Towards the end of junior, his team ended the season with a loss in Divisions || champions game. When he was a senior, he scored about 31.6 points per game helping his team reach their goal to get the third state title. During this time St. Vincent-St. Mary High School was the top national ranking for this year. When James was receiving so much social media attention he was often called Ohio Mr. Basketball. James played a huge amount of nationally ranked teams when he traveled around the country, including Oak Hill Academy that worldwide televised on ESPN2. He was picked again for the USA Today All-star First Team and was named Gatorade National Player of the year twice in a row. St. Vincent-St. Mary High School won the Division || championship making their third division title state in four years.

LeBron James didn’t only play basketball in high school, he also played football. He played in the receiver's position for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. James was also very good at playing football. He was inducted by some division | programs. During sophomore year playing football, James was named first team all-state. During junior year playing football, he helped lead the Fighting Irish to the semifinals. James didn’t play football for his senior year because of his wrist injury. Lebron James was very good at football that other people speculated that he could have played in the National Football League. The skills that Lebron James had, he was the first player to be picked by his hometown team the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2003 NBA draft. During his first season, he made history when he first joined the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Rookie of the year award went to Lebron James. He was the first player on the team to receive the honor and the third player in NBA history to score moderately about 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game as a rookie. In 2005, James made NBA history again when he scored more than 50 points in one game.

In the year of 2006, James helped his team beat the Washington Wizards in the first round of playoffs. Then their team played against Detroit Pistons which led them to the semifinals. James scored about 26.6 per game in the season but it wasn't enough for his team to get a victory. He still received special recognition for his abilities even when his team wasn't at the top ranking. He had a new contract agreement with his team. The team improved to be stronger competitors for the season ahead. They beat Detroit Pistons in the semifinals but in the NBA finals they lost against San Antonio Spurs. Later on during 2007-2008 James continued to be on the Cavaliers team and improved his standing in the Eastern Conference. He scored about 30 points per game, one of the highest range in the NBA regular season. During 2008-2009 sports journalists and his fans began about LeBron James future. James wanted to stay focus on his team, what he is right now and winning the champions that's what matter to him. He pushed the reporter aside because he didn't want to become an agent at that time. Later on LeBron James became an agent and he joined the Miami Heat team for the 2010-2011 season. Back in Cleveland his fans weren't too happy and the people thought that James joining another team was a betrayal to his hometown. With his new team Miami heat he finished second in the league during his first season and scored about 26.7 points per game. 2011-2012 season was a major success for James and the Miami Heat. His team won a victory in the NBA finals and James the superstar finally earned his first title. Game 5 he scored 26 points, with 11 rebounds, and 13 assists. It was a difficult decision for James to leave Cleveland but he understood what his future was about and he knew that he had a bright feature. When LeBron James was 28, he was one of the youngest player to score 20,000 points and he beat a successful man named Kobe Bryant who accomplish this when he was 29.

When James beat Kobes recorded and he also, made NBA history again. When LeBron James was playing against the Warriors James made a jump shot within the final seconds of the game, making his scoring total to 20,001. His team and him won against the Warriors by score 17 points ahead. James and his team Miami Heat was very successful at the end of the year 2012-2013. They battled hard playing a series of games. In seven games, Miami outlasted the San Antonio Spurs to win their second consecutive NBA championship. At the year of 2013-2014 Miami came back to the NBA finals again to play against the spurs again and they lost against San Antonio after they played five games. When the contract ended with Miami Heat James went back to play with Cleveland Cavaliers again. During 2014-1015 season James missed out on a lot of games because he had a knee injury. When he was back on track from being injured he scored about 25.3 points and 7.4 assists per game. James and his team made it to the NBA finals. The injuries that other players had on James team cause James hopes getting a third title. In the finals his team lost in six games against the Golden State Warriors. James played harder and pushed himself wanting his team to make it in the Eastern Conference. He wanted his team to also, play in the NBA finals very well. James had to dive deep to get the team in the first round of the playoffs after totaling a career, greatest 9.1 assists in the regular season, offering a wonderful 45-point effort to sink the Pacers in Game 7. James scored 81 points within the last two game hoping to win and making it to the NBA finals again. His team had a rematch with the Golden Warriors again and they had a tied and the Warriors won in the overtime. James wasn't very happy with that his team lost.

Later on James wanted to move on with his life and decided to sign a contract and to join the Los Angeles Lakers. Currently and still today James is playing with the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron james went to the olympics three times. Him and his teammates won a bronze medal in the olympics. The other two times James won two gold medals. LeBron James is a very successful man that no matter how many times he lost in games he still pushed himself to play harder, better than his teammates.
