It rains alot in Sudan during the wet season. The average rainfall is 6.9 inches.

The terrain in Sudan relatively consists of flat plains with some mountain ranges. The Marrah Mountains are the highest mountains in the country. They reach 9,980 ft (3,042) on the northern edge. It shares borders with Egypt, Libya Chad, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia. The culture in Sudan is very unique. The culture's name is Sudanese. In Sudan, marriages are still arranged. They perform many cultural rituals and dances.

The government in Sudan is interesting. It consists of Representative democracy, Authoritarianism, Presidential system Federal republic, One- party state. The president is Omar Hassan Ahmad Al Bashir. Good luck pronouncing that! Sudan became an independent country in 1956. Civil war soon followed. The war lasted for 17 years and then started back up in 1983. Not really being a fun fact, Sudan is known for big crime waves.
