The Bill of Rights

The Bill of Rights has become an important role of American values over the years. The Bill of Rights is important to Americans because it stands for our rights and freedom. The Bill of Rights is made from ten amendments, the ones I will be talking about is the First, Eighth, and Ninth Amendment.

First, The Bill of Rights First Amendment protects five of the most basic liberties. These five basic liberties are freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, and freedom to petition the government to right wrongs. Freedom of religion means that the government may not force you to accept one set of religious beliefs. Freedom of speech entitles American citizens to say what they think, provided they do not hurt someone else's. Freedom of the press makes it possible for Americans to keep informed about what is going on in the world. Freedom of assembly makes it possible for Americans to join clubs. Freedom to petition, this freedom allows people to tell the government what they think is needed. These five freedoms in the First Amendment of The Bill of Rights is very important to the people because it gives them the freedom to believe and to say what they think without a punishment.

Second, the Eighth Amendment of The Bill of Rights protects people from having to pay unreasonably high bail. Bail is money given to get a person out of jail but later will appear for trial. The Eighth Amendment also protects people from unreasonably high fines. This amendment also outlaws cruel and unusual punishment. The Eighth Amendment in the Bill of Rights is important to everyone because it protects us from unreasonable bail and punishments.

Third, The Bill of Rights Ninth Amendment stands for the people's rights. The Ninth Amendment states that the Constitution and the Bill of Rights do not define all of the rights that people have. This amendment represents two of the most important themes of our Constitution. The first is popular sovereignty, which states that a government exists only to provide for its people because the people are the source of the government's power. The second theme is the presumption of liberty which states that no one should ever be forced to bear the burden of proving why he or she should be able to exercise a right. The Bill of Rights Ninth Amendment is very important because it's a way we can protect our rights.

In conclusion, The Bill of Rights has become an important role of American values. The Bill of Rights is important to Americans because it is the only way we can protect our rights and freedom. The First Amendment stands for the five basic liberties which are freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, and freedom to petition the government to right wrongs. The Eighth Amendment is responsible that bails and punishments are reasonable. As for the Ninth Amendment it protects people's rights. Just like these three amendments each ten amendments in The Bill of Rights has their own special reason to why it was made.
