A Center for Biological Diversity Report April 2011 stated in total as per their findings oil spill has likely harmed or killed approximately 82,000 birds of 102 species, approximately 6,165 sea turtles, and up to 25,900 marine mammals, including bottlenose dolphins, spinner dolphins, melon-headed whales and sperm whales (Biological Diversity). The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico had the potential to impact 7.3 million businesses throughout Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, affecting 34.4 million employees and $5.2 trillion in sales volume (Tourism industry impacts, 2014). In my supposition, we don't have any control over any characteristic calamities but we do have control over the way of utilizing the asset successfully. We ought to be mindful for any utilizing the assets secure and skillfully.

I would like to add some points towards cleaning the gulf oil spill and technologies used in the process. Here were the seven-handful technique for cleaning up the oil which are blowout prevention, containment domes, relief wells, dispersants, oil skimmers, fire and booms and barriers (Morrison, 2010). For instance, we will take dispersants and how they help to prevent the oil spill. Oil dispersants work within the same way as dishwashing fluid. Both are made up primarily of surfactant atoms – these are particles that have a hydrophilic (water-loving) head that's pulled in to water atoms and a hydrophobic (water-hating) tail that repulses water and at the same time connects itself to oil and oil. The result of these restricting powers is that the oil is broken up into modest beads suspended in water (Cleaning up the oil spill). Oil dispersants are used on water by spraying from aircraft or through surface vehicles. Once oil is spilled there are no great results and each reaction innovation includes trade-offs, Impact to the environment is at risk even after using dispersants, but reduces risk factors for others (D'Angelo, 2016).
