There are many basketball players out there, if it's from the NBA or even college basketball. Some players are world famous for what they do, and some just like to do what they love. Michael Jordan was one of the world’s greatest basketball players in the history of basketball. The life of this basketball player is filled with achievements, success, and life long decisions. From just being a regular basketball player, Jordan stood up and became one of the best basketball players in the whole world.

Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up in North Carolina. At a very young age, Jordan was already starting to show his love for sports. As a child, Jordan developed a competitive edge at an early age. He wanted to win every game he played. When Jordan was a sophomore in high school, he tried to get into the varsity basketball team, but didn’t get in due to his height. He then started to play baseball for about the rest of high school. In 1981 Michael went to college in the University of North Carolina where he was named the top player in his basketball team in 1983 and 1984. In 1984 he left the team and started playing the NBA( National Basketball Association) where he played for the Chicago Bulls. Jordan also played two U.S Olympic Basketball teams in 1984 and won a gold medal. In 1985, Jordan released his own shoes called “ Air Jordans. “ His shoes became world famous and his nickname became” Air Jordan.”

In 1989, Michael Jordan married Juanita Vanoy. They had three children together: Jeffrey, Marcus and Jasmine. After 17 years of marriage, the couple divorced in December 2006. Then, on April 27, 2013, Jordan married Yvette Prieto in Palm Beach, Florida. The couple welcomed twin daughters, Victoria and Ysabel, in February 2014.

During his time with the Chicago Bull, he became world famous and even helped the team win 3 NBA championships from 1990 to 1993. When his team won the championship, Jordan quoted “ There isn't an” i” in team, but there is in win,” Which inspired many individuals all around the world. In 1992 he returned to the U.S Olympic Basketball team and won the gold medal each time. Unfortunately, Jordan left basketball in 1993 to spend more time with his family. Then, in 1994 he went back to professional basketball and joined Alabama’s Birmingham, Barons. He then returned to the Chicago Bulls in 1995 and helped them win 3 more NBA championships. Jordan decided to leave the team in 1998. After two years, In 2000, he returned back to basketball and this time he played for the Washington Wizards. Jordan played his last game on April 16th, 2003 when he was 40 years old.

To this day. Michael Jordan sometimes trains people in Basketball camps and also spends time with his wife and three children. Jordan has proven to fans and individuals that you can make and do anything happen if you work hard. As Jordan says “Limits, like fears, are often just an illusion.” This means that you can do anything if you work hard and do what you love. Because Michael Jordan worked hard and never gave up even if people bullied him, he stilled did what he loved. That is why he is considered on the world's greatest basketball player of all time.
