Many of people working together for a common purpose have been a fundamental building block of human social organization. However, building up a team requires individual who are willing to work, listen and talk. They a lot of attribute that contribute to effective team work but in this documentation we only focus on interdependence, open communication, positive feedback, commitment to team processes, leadership & accountability.
Positive interdependence happens when individuals perceive that working together with other members of the group they can attain their goals, vision and mission. It has being identified that a work performed by a group is the result of interdependence which also indicates the result of social interaction. The other characteristic that indicate social interaction it’s the practice or principle of giving a group priority over each individual in it.
Communication is the key to successful team work each member must be able to communicate with the rest of the team for projects update, questions and ideas, however where they is interaction of people communication is required. Open communication also influences encouragement between group members. Conflict among people is something that is very difficult to control but open communication it promote, friendliness, trust and comfort that members needs to resolve conflicts among themselves.
Positive feedback is one of the most important attributes because it boost up the productivity of the project as individuals will have that morale to continue or improving their service in the team and it also improves the vibe of individuals working in a specific field they are assign to. Most forms of positive feedback require no cash just the time of team leader to address the individual on how the projects is going and what needs to be improved for better outputs.
Processes are positively related to team performance and team member satisfaction because the more the effective in setting goal, activity coordination the more satisfied members are with working as part of the team. The reason for teamwork is to make a job easier, interesting and faster. However, the process whereby the team depends on one another for information can also affect the importance of processes utilized by team therefore interpersonal processes is important for the effectiveness of the team.
Leadership is a huge responsibility that stop most people into being leaders due to accountability because of people when they don’t feel accountable they drop to low performance task. Every team needs a leader that is accountable for everything that is happening on the project and signs of a good leader must be able to commit to his work and also to be able to clear what is within his power to complete the given task.
Team work depends on interdependence, open communication, positive feedback, commitment to team processes, leadership and accountability because every member of the team needs to use their ability to work towards the achievement of the vision and mission of the project. It also requires everyone to understand what their role is to meet the team’s success.
