I was in this theater with about two other people, and it looked funny. It sounded funny, and i thought everyone was a cartoon. So i went into the premier thinking “This is a brave thing to do since you think this is very terrible film.’ With hundreds of other people, it was a wonderful film. I really enjoyed it. It’s not the book but the fact is Quincy Jones and Steven Spielberg did try their best. They love it and they worked really hard,” Alice said to her critics (Whitaker).
Alice Walker literature The Color Purple inspired many with her art. Walker might not experience the same thing as Celie did, but Walker deliver her messages for her readers through her characters and dialogues.
