Managing cultural diversity is closely related to mutual understanding, learning and cooperation to manage cultural diversity. Successful training will give the company positive results. There are different factors, such as age, sex, culture, personality, social status and sexual orientation, which make up diversity.

Exploring Culture Diversity in the Workplace

Different cultures cover various perspectives on key workplace problems, including time management, compliance with authority, teamwork, and responsibility. Developing cultural skills means understanding, communicating and interacting effectively with people throughout different cultures and working with different cultural beliefs and schedules. Although there are countless cultural variations, some of them are important at work:

  1. Communication: The accurate and prompt provision of information is crucial for efficient work and team performance. This is especially important if a project has a problem and needs to be corrected immediately.
  2. Team-Building: Some cultures such as the USA are individualistic, and people want to do it by themselves. Cooperation within or among other teams is worth other cultures. Team building problems can become more difficult as teams consist of people of a mixture of these kinds of culture. Effective intercultural team building is essential in order to take advantage of the potential benefits of cultural diversity on the job.
  3. Time: As far as they view time, cultures differ. The balances between work and family life, for instance, differ and the working environment is a combination of work and social comportment. The perception of overtimes or the exact significance of a period also includes other differences. Different perceptions of time, particularly with schedules and deadlines, can cause a big misunderstanding and misconception at work. Perceptions of the time highlight the importance and impact of the cultural diversity in the workplace.
  4. Schedules:  Working can have an impact on the workplace through cultural and religious events. In the west secular year, the business world usually runs from 1 January to 31 December. But certain cultures use wildly different calendars to establish New Year's or holy days.
