As far as the problems with employee monitoring is concerned, Employees when they use to work freely if we go back in the 80’s * 90’s, they worked without any hesitation or employer vouching, they were always given the task by the employer with the duration to complete it, and by the time the employee worked really hard & accomplished all the tasks given to him on time. So now a question arises “what is the point of getting involved in such complicated things like monitoring employees by using new technology while they are working?” Answer to it would be the competition, more productivity, less cost, more work efforts less waste of time & goals achievement. As it could be the case of demand & supply, when there is an increase in demand then there should be an increase in supply so that employer can maintain the report of the firm & the level of competition among the competitors. According to some survey currently in Pakistan not only some multinational firms but also domestic or local companies are using new technology for monitoring to maintain standard & give a boost to the competition, employees are monitored in their jobs to get more efficiency & productivity, and this number of local firms will increase as computers & new monitoring technologies are used more and more within companies though small or giant firms, and as the cost of these monitoring systems goes down". And this new monitoring technology especially in Pakistan is not only used for the employees but also as a part of security crises in Pakistan, as Pakistan is fighting a war against terror. But somehow the new technology is creating problems for those employees, managers or supervisors who want to work freely without any monitoring or check so that no one could ask them about the results as they think that they are genius enough to accomplish any task. But it is also creating problem for the employer who is paying them to get the work done by the time but the employer is getting what he wants. According to the survey when everything had become dependent on computer for time saving, quick processing & efficiency in work for more business gain & goal achievements, the survey in 2001 showed that “60.7%” of employees surveyed said they visit web sites or surf for personal use at work. Now it became the issue for employer which enforced them to use such techniques like employee monitoring by installing new technology which helps to find out punctuality of employee, the way they work & accomplish the tasks & get more productive for the company. Computerized & systematic:Imagine how employees & employers worked in a very difficult way where a lot of time for one task which we do in seconds in present day life with new technology. If we compare today we have got a lot of facilities like with the help of computer we can save a bunch of records with millions of customers & we don’t need extra rooms for storing documents but a small thing like a palm where we can store such huge data is a hard disk, & it’s not about saving time but at the same time we can calculate & find record of any client in few seconds with exact time date & the data we need. It is the present technology which has made us dependable to make our work faster easier safer and secure with less time high productivity without filling any extra space as we did in our past businesses.

3.3 Time management & work efficiency

Time taking & risk of errors:Once upon a time it was really difficult to make a perfect print than it has been made easier by today. Like in past time it needed perfection in printing a paper through typewriter because we cannot use backspace to erase the error or we cannot use the Shift key to write the word in capital letter if we have made an error in small letters. These are only minor mistakes but these mistakes were creating a lot of problems like fingers fatigues to keep on working for the day long with noisy typing, sometimes it created problems like a black ribbon if letter is not being typed as it should be to look bright & specially if we need urgent prints of more than one pages always needed perfection & error free typing to with the maximum number of speeds per word to make the point better & faster. But still there could be the chance of an error to occur during typing.

Time saving & error free:Nowadays it is the computer which is doing a lot of crazy things like making a paragraph first than find out errors underlined & make the fonts & sizes looks more beautiful according to your requirement & you can erase it & can use caps lock for capital letters if we have made an error in small letters. The best part is that before printing you make sure that the paragraph is well written with perfect font size & whole look make sense for your requirement. Then we print it to avoid wasting paper prints as typed document is already checked & corrected. Today printer instead of a typewriter is much better with relaxation of all those difficulties felt in previous work days.

Delays & complications:Post mail or courier, the past courier system of 50 to 60 years back business which is still being followed but on a smaller scale. Sending a document from Pakistan to any other country through courier was taking more than a week. Suppose we are sending payment invoice or bill of lading & if there is in an error on it then the same post was sent back to the company to make a correction & the sender has to revert it back again. If sending a letter from one to another country was taking 7 days than above situation use to be solved in 21 days. There are many scenarios in which problems were faced by many businesses like the above situation. Prompt actions & easiness:Just imagine how complicated it was to send a file & wait for more than a week & still we have to make some corrections. But nowadays we have computers & internet through which we are sending mails & if there is any mistake or changes we can correct it in minutes as we get prompt response & at the same time we communicate & make changes as required. 4.3Importance of Access Control Systems

Physical Access Control is a matter of whom, where, and when. An access control system determines who is allowed to enter or exit, where they are allowed to exit or enter, and when they are allowed to enter or exit. Historically this was partially accomplished through keys and locks. When a door is locked only someone with a key can enter through the door depending on how the lock is configured. Mechanical locks and keys do not allow restriction of the key holder to specific times or dates. Mechanical locks and keys do not provide records of the key used on any specific door and the keys can be easily copied or transferred to an unauthorized person. When a mechanical key is lost or the key holder is no longer authorized to use the protected area, the locks must be re-keyed. Crime Deterrent: If CCTV cameras constantly monitor a retail business, criminals will likely seek an easier target. If employees know that they are constantly being watched, they are less likely to steal from their employer or waste time on the job. School children who know that their every move is being recorded may be less likely to carry guns to school or engage in criminal activities on campus.

CCTV Doesn’t Always Work: Unfortunately, CCTV is usually not able to display every square inch of a business or facility. Even if the cameras are positioned correctly, there is no guarantee that the cameras will catch any crime or unwanted behavior done on the property. These cameras can sometimes be thwarted by covering them up or by sticking a piece of chewing gum on the lenses. The institute named as The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). “The right product, in the right place, at the right time, at the right price” (Adcock). “Marketing is the process whereby society, to supply its consumption needs, evolves distributive systems composed of participants, who, interacting under constraints – technical (economic) and ethical (social) – create the transactions or flows which resolve market separations and result in exchange and consumption” (Bartle’s).In short we can say Marketing is used to identify the customer, satisfy the customer, and keep the customer.The marketing segment which was considered for this research is Corporate Business Marketing in which the marketing chain starts from Coe , Director , First line managers , Operation managers , and ends on Hr managers .And the scenario relates to organizational/industrial buying behaviour is "B2B" which stands for Business to Business. B2B marketing involves one business marketing a product or service to another business and in this research we focus over the firms which are offering the employee monitoring systems in the corporate world. The central idea behind marketing is the idea that a firm or other entity will create something of value to one or more customers who, in turn, are willing to pay enough (or contribute other forms of value) to make the venture worthwhile considering opportunity costs. Value can be created in a number of different ways and in the field of marketing the monetary system in the corporate world the value will be created via innovative technology uses in solution making and system supporting and value plays a vital role in resolving the barriers of the firms. Creating value in the marketing decreases the pressure of barriers and assists the customer to go for the purchase and implementation in order to have the diversion towards success, efficiency as well as effective task force. Nowadays in the corporate world internal and external both barriers exist at the firm which breaks or slow down the marketing process and for this sake the value in the products play a vital role to make the process fluent.

5.2 B2B-Marketing Barriers

The barriers which were faced under defined B2B marketing for the product which are special goodsi.e. (Employee monitoring technologies) are as follows:

5.3 Firm (Customer) Internal Barriers Faced by the Marketers

The marketer faced various internal barriers as well while marketing the monetary systems to the customer (firm) these below defined factors plays a vital role in order to decrease the marketing fluency as well as also push the marketer towards de-motivation and make their sales level slow:

In this scenario the prospect share that the case will be close shortly but on actual the case goes for the pending and the firm only execute the case when they are very much confirmed for the requirement.
  4. Less awareness and pretending to be the best:This barrier arises where the firms have little innovative depts. Or concerns in order to initiate. The concerned person of the firm does this barrier by considering his own factors more than the marketer and makes his ground over it.
  5. Internal Employee Favourism:The employee favourism also occurs and it creates another barrier for the marketer .In this barrier the firm manager gave favor to such employees who can be monitored easily and can be rectified but due to selecting a non innovative solution the concerned person creates a barrier for the marketer to guide the right solution. I.e. Choosing RFID devices where buddy punching may arise and their senior or favored employees can save themselves to be countered.

The study is particular about the barriers arising while marketing the monitoring technologies in the country like Pakistan. There is also information about the responses obtained by the customer after deploying these devices.

7.1 Conclusion

  • The companies provide monitoring devices makes delays in installation & after sales support as per expectations of client which directly hits the marketing of devices including the company.
  • Companies also make delays in training its new clients when they are unaware of monitoring devices.
  • Companies always get complains about products warranty & after sales services.
  • The lack of coordination between sales & support team or management creates problem for marketing executive & the client as well which has some expectations about the company.
  • Lack of promotional campaigns.
  • Customers need for new product about new issues in security & monitoring is less considered.
  • Executives do not pitch the right solution to the right person
  • Marketing Executives sell cheap products considering that it will make a new customer in the list without even thinking that device starts malfunctioning, which results in not fulfilling customer’s expectations 100% as assumed before purchased at a time of product briefing.
  • Executive does not analyze requirement of the customer properly.
  • Executive always feel difficulty in finding the right concerned person.
  • Customer always wants cheap prices for standardized device which creates a barrier for marketer.
